  2. Red has too much tone-suck on bass, you’re better off with mauve or puce.

I love my KZ ZS10s. I've had to replace the cable due to wear, but they're still great.
  4. I was after his opinion. Presumably as a carpenter he’d have an opinion on this, no?
  5. “Can I borrow your amp? Do you have a spare lead?” this way madness lies. And not n a good way.
  6. I’ve always had at least one bass since the age of 17 (many moons ago), and can’t imagine being without, so you have my sympathies. Life’s a big wheel though, sometimes you’re down in the mud, but then thing come back around. Keep your chin up and your low end LOW Bubibga5, I have every faith in the kindness of the average Basschat member, and would offer you a bass to borrow myself if I were a few hundred miles closer.
  7. Sounds like an upgrade to me! 😄
  8. Nice that. I loved the single and also listened to 'No ID' and it reminded me a little of some of Living Color's more mellow stuff.
  9. But only 4 strings. I didn't vote for Jaco because, despite him being arguably the best musician in that list, he wasn't one of the players that influenced the young Paul_5; his influence came later in my musical development.
  10. Very "disintegration"-esque. I Like it a lot.
  11. I twisted my back last weekend on a gig using IEMs - I reached too far and twisted getting my bass off its stand. I thought that was the worst of it, then Sunday it triggered a bit of sciatica too. Silly, silly boy. played sat down too, so I know it was poor handling that did for me.
  12. iLok are available pretty easily - any online retailer should be able to sell you one, but they're MUCH more expensive than when I bought mine - they're about £60 now! You'll need the iLok Manager software (free download), an account with the iLok software, and a license in your iLok account that you can drag over to the iLok
  13. Best sound I ever managed to get from a Metal Zone was the satisfying 'clang' as it hit the inside of a skip. Your mileage may vary though.
  14. Easiest Motown bassline (from a non-syncopated, treading perspective) is probably "Baby Love" by Diana Ross an the supremes - just a steady crotchet note line throughout.
