1. Two SSDs. One for OS and DAW/plugins, one to record your audio to. While you're in there you could see if you could shoehorn any more RAM in there - that's always useful for plugins etc...
2. I swear by the AB guide to music theory part 1 - the pink one. That'll get you up to grade V. AB also do past papers for theory, you can probably access them online.
3. I used to love that Jonas Hellborg book. You've got me wondering what happened to it...
4. Congratulations on your good fortune! Beautiful bass too. 😄
Thanks. I thought you might have used that. But seeing as you modified some component values I wondered if you found a schematic or reverse engineered one from the layout.
Not really, just knowing that increasing Emitter resistors decreases the gain of the transistor.
Hi. Where did you get the schematic / circuit info ? FSB ?
Got a stripboard layout from tagboardeffects.blogspot.com.
7. Oof. Makes me think about upgrading my SVT-IIP. Nice.
8. Run. Don't even bother to pack, just RUN!!!

I'm starting a Crowther Prunes & Custard this week; just fancy something a bit different...
10. I thought they were called AC/DC because that's the main chord progression?

12. Probably some sort of overdrive. Or an octaver.
13. From an old BC thread on the 3 band EQ of the LH series amps: "Remember that the LH-1000 has a "tone stack" EQ and the flat reference setting is bass 3, mids 10, treble 0. Setting all the controls at noon will give you a scooped midrange sound. Read the manual and you will get the idea. There are only three knobs so set them where they sound good for you and your bass!"

I changed the 2 emitter resistors from 100r to 560 to reduce the gain and make it a bit less fizzy. I'm going for a low to mid drive unit with this one.

Been playing about with one of these on stripboard lately - altered a couple of values to suit it more to my taste and it's working very well! http://youtu.be/AqBxMXwc77c
16. Just got an email to say that PMT are having a sale of Hartke gear and thought it might be of interest to somebody on here. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/brands/hartke
17. I'd complain to the utilities company; never rub another man's rhubarb!
18. Mine comes after the tuner just before the octave and envelope filter. Not tried it anywhere else though...
19. I enjoyed it; the massive amount of delay on the guitar is a bit off putting though.
20. Flats FTW.
21. "Sorry I'm late to the gig, it Tuk me longer than I thought to get here..."
22. Geddy Lee plays a bit of guitar, does that count?
23. Intermittent faults are the worst. To be on the safe side I'd get in touch with Ki0gon to get a new loom, or get the tech to rewire it at least; it's quicker to rewire the lot than check each wire individually.
