I've just rediscovered my old Laney SP300 power amp. It's all on 1/4" jack sockets and binding posts with independent volume controls for channels 1 and 2 and it'll run as 300W bridged IIRC.
Anybody know where I can find out the specs (recommended input level and impedance etc...)?

Oh well done.
Being jumped on for a solo is my recurring nightmare.

This, apart from 'Being jumped on for a solo' is just one of my recurring nightmares...
The transformer rewir company were recommended by Derek at Watford Valves, so it might be worth giving them a call. If you speak to Derek it won't be a short phone call, but what he doesn't know about about 'pegs ain't worth knowing.
Panic music in Cambridge ( I think) are the only authorised dealer for Ampeg spares in the UK, but the trannies you get these days just don't seem to be that good. If I remember correctly there's a company in Ipswitch who rewind transformers.
Slander will be unleashing their new line-up at the Borough in Darwen, Lancashire on June 28th.
Support is by the Horny Goat Band (bachelors of the Parish).
Hot blues and NWOBHM styled metal for all...
Blend pedal - handful of components and it's real game changer. I recently added a LPF to mine so that just the low frequencies are kept unaffected, and the mids and top get messed up.
Score!
I'm renovating a 1954/5 Hofner Senator and I need to get hold of 6 machine heads and a bridge.
Ideally I'm looking to use original parts, so there's a bit of budget available.
Anybody?
I've not really got anything more to add; Behringer BDI21 or DHA VT1 would be my first choices (obviously dependent on budget). Try the Behringer first. at £26 it's not going to break the bank and if you find that for whatever reason you don't like it then the resale value on here is generally about £20, so you'll be £6 out of pocket but a lot closer to pinning down your ideal sound.
I tend to go for the path of least resistance (if you'll pardon the pun) and browse tagboard sites, particularly this one:

I'd particularly recommend the Coloursound Bass Fuzz layout.
doctortweek.co.uk carries a good range of quality components - especially JFET and germanium trannies (for lovely tube-y tones) at very reasonable prices.
Hope this helps.

No, his missus enforces a strict 'one-in-one-out' policy.

Why he no sell me his fretless StingRay?
