  1. Pretty much everything *but* Fender! 😄
  2. Nope, Jazz bass straight down the line. I’ve got a P for the odd occasion when I feel like a change, but for me it’s Jazz bass, Jazz bass and thrice Jazz bass.
  3. Call Any Vegetable - Zappa
  4. Me, I’ve bought nowt!
  5. The Dangerous Kitchen - Zappa
  6. Also the Sansamp Bass Driver never really scratched me where I itched - I still reckon the Paradriver is vastly superior
  7. Perfect when played through a Line 6 Helix.
  8. Dance of the Mad - PWEI
  9. Flats. I know that there are loads of players who love them, but I went through about 5 or 6 brands before realising that they weren’t for me.
  10. That nut looks like it’s compatible with Lego bricks!
  11. Thanks for this, I'd forgotten all about the Jaco exercises. I have the book (somewhere) and have only watched the video once; I just find it too sad to rewatch.
  12. Every day is like Sunday - Captain Morrissey and the Fantastic Miserables
  13. I suspect you are not the only one troubled by that particular memory. 😄
  14. Measure twice, cut once.
  15. Is it not just the capacitors/opamp filling up after being empty?
  16. It's true, they are.
  17. I bet the neighbourhood dogs were going mental!!
  18. I would have walked at ‘blues/rock’, or if not then, then definitely at ‘3 guitarists’! 😄
  19. Wow, it’s all downhill from here though ☹️
  20. Higher gain at the front end increases the level through the rest of the circuit and gives a better signal to noise ratio. I prefer to run the Gain as high as I can and leave the Master as low as I can get away with.
  21. “When they go low, we go high”
  22. When soldering to the back of a potentiometer use a light abrasive (sandpaper, larks’ tongues etc…) to remove the coating on the metal and make it easier to solder to. When soldering the wire to the lug of the potentiometer use a small crocodile clip as a heat-sink to avoid overheating and damaging the insides.
