1. I love he look of a well played (not artificially relic'ed) P Bass; particularly Scott Devine's and Scott Thunes' Ps. I also love the look of a Rickenbacker. I do not like the feel of them though. The gods have decreed that I am a Jazz man - 'twas always thus and ever shall be. I reckon I've done alright.
2. I think he's selling an amp (or three, I'm not sure) which may or may not have a 'almost no distortion' switch. That feature sounds almost useful.
3. I haven't got any static my watch either - it's a wind-up affair.
4. That's a beauty! I'm running an SM400 head at the moment and thought I'd eliminated all my amp GAS forever. Then this came along
5. not exactly a tour though, more a residency.
6. yup, I'd look at getting the Trace fixed first, or at least getting quotes. Even if you don't end up using it (TE kit isn't known for its portability now, is it?) you've got a working amp that you can PX or sell to raise funds for a lightweight head / rig.
7.
…and a viking helmet so I don't bother with those.
yeah, 'cos 2 of those would be ridiculous…
8.
'by accident' Yeah, right. This is very obviously a special code. To you it might be two Tetleys in your splosh 'by accident' rather than the usual one, but to her it is a clear statement that says "frankly I think you are hotter than a Rolex at CashConverters, and I would like you to biff the living daylights out of me forthwith".
ah, but is she a 'two-bagger' or not?
9.
Aren't you supposed to come out with a new bass costing hundred's, if not thousands of pounds Ray? That's how the story normally goes..
+1. I expected a load of bass porn shots on this thread. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
10. which pedal is it? (also, I like the use of the word 'deployed' when it comes to pedals - kudos to you)
11. Bugger, I'm in Cambridgeshire this weekend otherwise I'd be all over this. Good luck with the gig though.
12. It's got the 'Invitation' disc instead of the unedited 'Twins'. Surely an inferior edit version shouldn't be in a box set of this price?
13. Artec dropped to £20 of your earth pounds now. OR trade for a Wilkinson MM humbucker (or similar). needs to have 4 wires though.

15.
Edirol UA-20 audio capture thingumma jiggy.
There's your problem right there - this has been superseded (for exactly the problem you've described) by the Edirol UA-20 audio capture Oojamaflip. I'd have a look at the input and output (F4 if memory serves) in Cubase. Also look in preferences to see what the default input is. Could be that (by default) Cubase is creating a stereo input and you're only giving it a mono one - causing the 'ground' to go to the second input and giving you a hum.

"This is a top class relic not a dodgy electric sander hatchet job." Really? top of the 'remedial' class maybe …
17. It's a bit limited though, I can't put MM humbuckers on a Jazz!
18. I had a round backed Romanian one that I bought for about £90 in roughly 2003. Then I got married and we had kids, and they turned it into mandolin segments.
19. Refresh your web browser, sometimes they use images in the cache memory to make everything run a bit quicker. Refreshing it forces the computer to reload everything afresh.
20. I like the one you've got now Pestie, where's that from?
21. 'Gigability' of a pub? I use a rubber chicken to measure it.
