  1. Had a hardback one for years. Lots of lovely, GAS inducing pics. Don't know about the paperback version, but the hardback's got a couple of lovely fold-out pages for some VERY special basses (I think a '61 Jazz, Pino's fretless MusicMan etc...).

  3. very, very carefully. Best leave it to someone who knows...
  4. My board's Ebanol and I play with rounds - it does *not* look pretty. sounds good though.
  5. XL T shirt? Do they have other sizes too?
  6. I tend to get the intro to "Walkabout" by RHCP when I'm walking downstairs most days. Odd. Good line though... http://youtu.be/J1MwPDtPjbs
  7. Just had a look at the xylem stuff - looks like there's a bit of 'Carl Thompson' in there. Which is nice!
  8. It's all true - great pickups for less than the price of a full body wax... Best of luck skipper! Enjoy your retirement.
  9. A simple compressor with a 'Make up gain' knob would do it - it would also even out the dynamics for you, so I'd be tempted to use that rather than an EQ.
  10. Nice! Black and bare wood is a classy look for a bass.

    Sold

Nice these, I swear by my DHA pedal.
  14. Compressor pedal or an eq pedal with a master volume to boost the output.
  15. I keep my "thrown together in a shed" 1x12 in my shed (cost about £20) to make. I wouldn't put my hydrive in there though...

    Necks (parts)

Don't let the price put you off; I absolutely LOVE my Mighty Mite neck - very, very playable! MMmmmmmmmm
  17. I'm using a Coloursound Bass Fuzz clone and I'm loving it. Slightly over budget, so I built one for a fraction of the cost.
