Actually, I'm tempted to spring for a micro head, I've tried the MiBass but wasn't too impressed. Hopefully this'll sound a bit more lively as I sort of like the way it looks...

Artec SE2A. don't know about the internal dimensions of the 'vette, but these are a good fit for Jazz basses. It's a modular unit, so the different pieces just connect via prefab wiring looms. Should be a doodle and they're cheap as chips. http://www.thomann.de/gb/artec_se2a.htm

I really like the look of that 5 string corvette. Always have. I think it's one if the few 'non-fender' body shapes that is genuinely beatiful. Lots of manufacturers try to reinvent the wheel, or try to be different for the sake of it but the fluid lines of the 'vette are a triumph of musical instrument design.

Personal hygiene is important in confined spaces - so have a bath! Seriously though, get in and set up as quickly as you can. If it's a borrowed amp/already in the rehearsal room and it sounds sh*t don't make a fuss, just try to make the best of a bad situation. Oh, and take a spare lead.

[/quote] I've used this method of 'gating' my new 'supermuff' and, although it gates the signal, you need to roll the volume up to full - essentially you've voltage starving the transistor which results in a MASSIVE volume drop. Hmm, there must be a better way to do this...
