1. Behringer pedals are really good Boss copies. I doubt you'll have trouble moving it on if you don't like it. It might be worth placing an ad in the 'items wanted' section on here just in case someone 'didn't get on' with one.
2. Not bad, i reckon I've got about 1/8 of a turn on the truss rod of my bitsa P/M bass and I've cracked it. My re-fret went better than I thought too. Enough tinkering, time for some proper playing...
3. I use "mobile metronome" for my android phone. It's brilliant for practicing at home. I've not used it with a band though.
4. You might need to mute the power amp too, just i case you get a big 'thump' when you switch between them.
5. Ah, that's the same model as my first 'proper' bass head. Good times.
6. Loved it - good that he didn't take it all too seriously. And yes; I thought it was interesting.
7. Working on the assumption that it's loops and 'conventional' performance instruments - I'd score the instrumentation as normal and use two single lines (like percussion or similar) - one to indicate the beat (or time) where the sample is triggered, and another to notate the rhythm of the sample. You could even do it that way using one line for the triggers and an ossia over the top for the sample rhythm. Just a thought.
8.
I always thought I was wimping out by using index and little. I can stretch to use my ring finger, but it's not particularly comfortable and doesn't always sound good tbh.
One-finger-per-fret is more of a guideline than a rule... I go with whatever's comfortable for whatever position I'm in.
9.
we have a banjo player and that thing is a beast to tame for feedback.
but they're really good as kindling...
10.
hello.. has anyone tried the Chord OC-50 or the Beta Aivin OC-100 Super Octave (?).. both go for around 40 quid.. Hmm Cheers!
I've got the chord one and it's brilliant. Much prefer it to the Aguilar and EBS. Really, really good OC2 clone.
11. I'd probably shoot for 5/4 and use chromatic passing notes on beats 4 and 5 - 10 beats is a long time to stay with one chord, so why not add a dominant in occasionally to imply a bit more movement? (e.g. slip in an F#7 under the Bm7b5(b2))Also, should your 'b2' of those chords not be a 'b9's? Also secondary dominants are your friend - imply a D7 before the G7, and B7 before the Em7(b9) etc... to create even more movement. Hope this helps.
12. As new, instructions included. Behringer's Sansamp clone sounds identical to the BDDI fron Tech 21, will work as a didtortion pedal or DI box (or both simultaneously) for recording/live work.
13. I think with weddings/functions you're better off carving out a slice of cake. ALWAYS go for the cake. Seriously though, it sounds like you've got the drive to do whatever you want, and I wish you every success in doing so.
14. There may be a fuse on the board that's blown - have you tried that? I know that some amps have internal 'quick blow' devices - they can be replaced for about 50p each.
15.
Which interview did you read?
I read (in at least two FZ Biographies) that Scott was responsible for Zappa canceling dates on his last tour and not gigging again. Could be fanbois with axes to grind though.
16. Yup. I did the bridge on mine and it worked a treat. Baby steps though.
17. Yowsa - that's a beauty!
18. That's appalling. Makes MDP stuff look positively appealing.
19. You might be able to get away with 'safe uninstall' before reinstalling PT. If that doesn't work then you'll need to do a 'full uninstall' before reinstalling. Also check the latest drivers for your hardware, I seem to remember that there have been some updates recently. here's the link: http://avid.force.co...wnload/en379411
20. I've bought from both HotRox and Watford Valves, and never had a bad experience with either. There's no such thing as a '2 minute phone call' to Watford if you're discussing Ampeg kit though - and that's not a bad thing either!
