1.
If I didn't play in a rock band or perhaps mostly played on ballad-type tunes then I'd be happy as a fretless player as well. Best of luck to you.
Jeff Ament?
2. Zoiks, it looks like 1983 threw up all over that bad boy.
3. This one's pretty good at it... I reckon IEMs would help to reduce it, as you're taking the back line out of the equation.
4. I'm selling my fretted 5 string and doing the same thing - I only ever play fretless now. It's the way forwards!
5. Panthairsoft is your man for this - his feet's busier than his fingers, but it's a close call. FWIW I had the SYB5 and expression pedal and I could get Dubstep wobbles out of it and they were pretty good. It's not the most flexible unit on the market, but it's pretty good for the money. It's worth picking one up in the 'for sale' forum, and if you don't like it, then you can always punt it back up for sale again - we're all GAS-hags and forever changing our setups in line with our whims and fancies.
6.
drill a hole, wire in a volume pot. tis a cheaper solution
True dat.
7. I'm probably somewhere between A and B, but TBH, I've spent loads more time on my RH technique than my fingertip position.
8. Hooters? you mean like owls? Didn't see any owls.

Fave guitar solo?
This is just pure class...
That whole 'Vigil' album is superb - every track is a masterclass in songwriting and the playing is first class - some incredible fretless work from John Giblin too.
10.
Me, at our first gig last week, also my time playing live. Yeah, I'm a late starter....
Never mind, as long as you all hit the chorus together I reckon you'll get away with it...
11. Intonation might be an issue too...

I love my old label maker - Mrs_5 has a new posh printing one, I just didn't think it looked right so got an old one for pedals and stuff. She no understand why, but we know.
13. Bobby is the demo player on the MXR website - he plays some cool stuff on those videos too.
14.
Can't imagine why this has not gone buddy?
'cos we've spent all us money on chips and bingo...
15. Ooh, I'd like some too. Not found any yet though.
16. Nice, thanks for the tip off.
17. Lovely basses Gazz, but not exactly what I'm looking for, so I'll have to politely decline.
18. Why not just find tunes that have arpeggios in the baselines and learn those? - two birds, one stone. For example - Night in Tunisia by Charlie Parker or I Feel Good by James Brown. There are loads of others too.
19. Ah, 'twas always thus.
20. OR you could 'man up' and pull the trigger on one of these bad boys... http://www.davehallamps.co.uk/page29.html They're the kipper's knickers!
