1.
If the strap isn't included why is it in the photograph? IMO it's the nicest thing...
Nah, that's a beauty. That strap looks a bit 'Liberace' to me.
2. personal favourites include "does Humour belong in music?", "we're only in it for the money" and the "Yellow Shark" project. Zoot Allures would be higher up the list if production was a bit better...
3. I've got about 12 or 13 FZ albums (with various line-ups) and they are all great. I do favour some over others though - "Weasels ripped my flesh" isn't in my 'everyday' playlist...

Jazz

I think it's ebanol. It's a 'bits'/home made Jazz - I bought everything from BC and screwed it [s]up[/s] together in my man-shed. The neck is a Mighty Mite fender licensed and it's just beautiful - it's fast becoming my 'go to' bass.
6. The "recorder man' technique is really close to the Glynn Johns technique...
7. Sussed - create a 'software instrument' track and I think by default it loads up a piano. Over on the RHS there's a couple of Tabs, Click the 'edit' one, and select EZdrummer from the bottom part of the drop down list, You should then be able to drag and drop MIDI loops from the 'groove' menu in EZ Drummer - . Loop away!
8.
Aren't you using EZ Drummer as a plug-in in garageband? that way you can just use the midi grooves from ez drummer and loop them for as long as you want...
+1, EZdrummer is far more effective as a plugin than as a stand-alone app. I've got both on my mac, so I'll have a look at getting them running....

10.
Yep, octave box (BOD in my case) into fuzz box (El Grande); that's definitely the way I do it as well. The M82 is the Bass Envelope Filter so no issues with running a fuzz into it.
Ditto, Fuzz tends to scoop the mids out, which could make it more difficult for the octave to track the notes properly. That's not the reason I run mine the way I do - I just prefer the sound of Octave then Fuzz.
11.
Get your coat
had to pick it up off the floor - coat hanger snapped. Ok, OK. I'm really going this time.
12. like the bit at around 2'24" when your man starts looking out of the window thinking "I wonder what's for tea?". Some cool sounds out of those l'il boxes though.

Jazz

here are my twins - Jazz all the way.
14. Russian muff and an Aguilar octamiser. Cor blimey guv'nor!
15. true dat, but I've got the 'what if' going on in the back of my mind. Cable is supposed to have a 'skin effect' whereby the high frequencies travel on the outside of the conductor, so having a greater diameter would mean (if any of this is even half true) improved top end sparkle and presence. Sounds fine at the moment though.
16. I've got more pedals than most of the musicians that I play with regularly. I'm always the first one set up. It's just a question of knowing your gear and, more importantly, knowing why you've got a particular pedal and exactly what it does. Rehearsal is when everyone comes together to integrate what they've been doing in their own time away from band practice, not to 'tinker'.
17.
PM'd regarding the DHA.
Good man, I was toying with getting a second, but you've saved me loads of grief from Mrs_5. Thanks for jumping on that grenade.
18. "can you write some more songs but this time how about they sound a bit more like..." (insert latest media-whore-marketing-trend here). sigh.
19. ah knackers, here's another band that I'll have to get into and inevitably buy... Why is BC getting soooo expensive?
20. it'll work, but it might not sound the best. It's safer to do it this way round than to use a bass lead as a speaker lead.
21. Damnit, I've been using 2.5 out of my 1000W ampeg power amp into my Hartke cab. Now I have cable GAS! somebody tell me this is just 'bad science' and I don't need to upgrade my cable. Please...
22. awesome line(s) from Lee Perry 'nuff respec'
23.
Radio 1 are coming to Torbay next month. I'll be giving them a miss, and will make sure I keep my windows shut so I don't hear Chris Moyles shoot his fat mouth off.
Shooting Chris Moyles' fat mouth off - not a bad idea.
