'tis opening night tonight for the college's production of We Will Rock You. Full dress rehearsal last night seemed to go well, except for some 'alternative choices' by one of the guitarists.
We shall see...
Anyone got any idea how I can easily cut a track in two? I've found I can highlight a small area and delete that for now but can't work out how to just split it exactly where I've got the line.
if you went the route of something like a vintage Neve pre, into an Fairchild 670 compressor

Uber GAS list, but a bit much for playing 'Mustang Sally'.
Revolution Number 9.
Seriously though, Helter Skelter, Tomorrow Never Knows (EHX freeze pedals at the ready), Day tripper ( as long as you substitute the lyrics for 'gay stripper' or similar), Get Back - anything with a bit of a drive to it really.
You can pick up a used MBox pretty cheap on eBay, I really like the sound of mine.
If you're considering one of these then make sure it's MBox version 2 and up (blue face), as the original MBox (with Focusrite pre's) aren't compatible with OSX Lion.
OR for just under your budget these are superb - the AD conversion is stunning.

Up for sale is my Tech 21 XXL Bass edition. No box or paperwork and velcro on the bottom. Bought it a while ago but it's not seeing much use and I need to clear some space on my board for a filter coffee machine or similar...
In really good nick (no dings, chipped paint or crackly pots).
Looking for £40 posted.

Ours was pretty good, people were up and dancing, one of the most receptive crowds we've ever had. Some that had seen us a few times before were joining in with the chorus to one of the songs - first time I've heard a bunch of people singing something I'd written, made my night .
It's really flattering when they do that innit? Of course some people say I deliberatly court that sort of response by writing hooky choruses that go 'Oooooo Oooooo'...

Not many people qualified to sing that, but if you are - who's to complain ??

Daily Mail readers - especially if you're of Eastern European stock as well.

Hi Paul,
Not sure if you're aware of this?:
No, wasn't aware of this. Having read the page I have even more respect for Scott and the good work he does.
Kudos to you Mr Devine.
Those are brilliant tutorials, Scott - loving the approach and the pace that you've got. Have you considered taking the glove off to make it easier for stoodents to see your fingers in a bit more detail though? Just a thought.
I had the 'B Bass V' five string headed and a 5 string headless back in the day - they were lovely to play and sounded great too. Well worth a punt, certainly if it goes for less than £200.
51m0n posted this link a while ago - http://www.cambridge-mt.com/ms-mtk.htm - loads of stuff to tinker with.

That's half the fun. Pedal-scrooge!

The GR is an awesome envelope filter. IME it's one of the things that digital units aren't too good at. Distortion/overdrive always sounds better when coming from a dedicated outboard pedal too.
sounds simple, but have you tried a different lead? there may be a short inside that. Failing that, sometimes phantom power can play merry hell with some bits of kit (shouldn't really, but on some lower end mixers I've experienced this).
