1. does it have wheels on the bottom?.......
2. I had one of these a while ago. Swapped the pickups for some DiMarzio Ultra Jazzes and it just sang. With a tiny, little bit of work these basses are brilliant. Bit of a bargain this, the necks have a lovely, chunky P bass feel, but sound like a Jazz bass. Good do!
3. also, they appear to have posted you a bass where everything is the wrong way around, I'd get them to rectify that too...
4. Hi all, been having a clearout and as I haven't used this for abut 2 years I'm letting it go. Official disc and Steinberg USB dongle for Cubase Studio 4. Includes "getting started" guide (paper copy). Might still have the original box in the loft somewhere, I'll have a look later. Sound on sound review here: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec06/articles/cubase4.htm £80 posted?
5. Holy Underpants!, that's a lovely bass. I too prefer the feel of Blade necks to Fender Jazzes. Looks like a bargain. Have a "pre-lawsuit headstock" bump on me.
6.
When you are in a covers band you’re [s]only[/s] there for the song.
fixed.
7. Up for Grabs - all with original boxes, seen very little use live hence sale. MXR Dynacomp - £55 posted MXR Microamp - £55 posted MXR GT Overdrive - £60 posted. Open to offers too, or £150 for the lot. also got a Cry Baby Wah that can go for £55 posted too.
8. What do you want it to sound like? Changing Pre valves can have a noticeable difference on the sound of the amp.
9. I found a good exercise when learning fretless was to use the E and A strings as drones, then play little tunes over these. Sorts your ears out pretty quickly.
10. Mine was down to my nipples up until I got married, then I got a more responsible job and had it all lopped off. Now I'm sad.
11. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, It's as American as Apple Pie, Pepsi Cola and Aggressive Foreign Policies.
12. all right then, £50 posted - and that's cutting me own throat...
13. a little bit of distortion (gentle, warm kind, not overdrive or fuzz) might 'lift' the line too.
14. Up for grabs are: 5 in-line Gotoh tuners ( not the big, elephant ear ones), a 5 string bridge and a pair of straplocks. all in Chrome. £60 for the lot?
15. Ooh, I'll check with my mate - he used to have one and loved it.
16. what about Jackson/Charvels? That is, if you don't looking like you're about to go postal.
17. OR you could try setting up a bass a to C instead of E to G? A bit excessive, but a great approach to fretless.
18. I can recommend the Tone Hammer too, it's a really flexible piece of kit with some great, great tones at your disposal.
19. Looks like Green Alsation has just outed himself as a 'chorus-whore' .
