1. I tried to resist, but she got the better of me. Great bassline and a nice, sultry vocal. Bring back sleeper. http://youtu.be/LcdA2ynLh4c[\media] OK, hijack over, as you were.
2.
I was asked by a mate whose rock band I`d left if I fancied auditioning for an indie/punk type band who were looking for a bassist. I`d been gigging for about 4 years solidly to the point where I`d left his band, and was relishing not being in a band at the time, as it meant being able to go to the pub every night. Turns out the band was Echobelly.
Erm, I'd call that a lucky escape. Shame it wasn't Sleeper, with the delicious Louise Wener.
3. still shaking like a shitting dog though.
4. SOLD
5. Loaded off his head though.
6. "You know you want this" type bump; the GRs are AWESOME MAN!!!
7. Hmm, cheers for that...
8. Hi Tolas. Yes, the bit of cable that's missing is the part that goes in the wall. I can send one with it if you'd prefer, but it would be a 3pin UK one, don't know how useful that would be to you. Paypal is fine if you decide to pull the trigger on this.
9. yeah, thought as much. I've got a dave hall VT2 which is a bit big for the board and isn't really getting used. I figured that if I rackmount it then I can get it off the board. I'd probably replace V1 for a 5751 to clean the 'main' channel up a bit and replace the footswitch with a TRS jack to use an old amp footswitch that I've got lying about. I might need to turn the tubes through 90 degrees though to squeeze it into a 1U case...
10. Hi all, how easy would it be to rackmount a pedal e.g. sansamp type thing? I'm guessing that once I've got the rack case it's just a question of drilling holes in the right place and pushing knobs through. Would probably need some sort of mounting for the PCB too. does anyone have any experience of doing this, if so, how easy is it?
11. wowsers, that Steve Hillage track has got funk rubbed all over it!!! Nice.
12. New year, new start. I mean, I'm all for optimism during the winter moths, but this is pushing it a bit... 13. Would you consider a trade for my Ampeg SVP PRO?
14. Postage to Lisbon is about £16.
15. Pictures now, quick-sharp, pronto!!!
16. Hi all, just been having a bit of a clearout and i've got 5 right angled mono (TS) Neutrik jack plugs. These have been used and then desoldered. shall we say £12 posted to mainland UK - practically half price. Sold.
17. hmm, everybody else's pictures are bigger than mine, I assure you, that photo is "not actual size"...
18. Here's my tuppence worth: ampeg SVP Pro into an ampeg SVP1500 with a dBx 1066 in the FX loop into a Hartke Hydrive 410. Meaty, beaty, big and bouncy!
19. +1, my blade 5 string has Ernie Ball flats and a J retro - lovely sound(s).
20. Guitar, keys, drums, mandolin and I'm pretty handy on recorders; I've got a soprano and an alto and would like a bass one (obviously) but they're a bit too pricey for a hobby instrument. I also dabble with pitched percussion, stylophone and the one-string banjo.
21. I'll get a quote tomorrow and get back to you. Cheers, Paul
22. Still on the table sir...
