1. I'm assuming (from Bilbo's description) that you're playing the Miles Davis classic, not the Anti-Nowhere League song of the same name. Wonder how that would work with a DB? Caution - not one for the kiddies (or your boss or my mum).
2. photo bump. Lovely, wobbly, grainy photos. Cheers, Paul
3. Not GAS free at all. Nearly there though, I'll soon have all of the kit I need, so won't have to buy anything ever again... ...I think I have a problem.
4. depends on too many things; room, which drummer/guitarist/singer i'm working with and also material. If i'm just playing 'on me tod' then the bass is untouched, boost of about 6db at 1.6 and 5khz. Seems to work for me.
5. ampeg svp pro is my weapon of choice. Had it for 15years and still absolutely love it.
6. Yup, priced for a quick sale. GAS GAS GAS
7. Would you consider splitting this lot? All I need are the 3 knobs and the strap buttons. Cheers, Paul
8. of course we want it, it's just viat none of up can afford it with this damned recession. I'm having to sell kit to buy new stuff. Not good.
9. cheers muck. It's a great head, i'm just using it as a power amp for my valve pre.

EHX big muff?
Didn't Flea use the big muff on Sir psycho sexy, with a dying battery? Sounded awesome!
I think it was a MuTron with a dying battery. I've just got a BBM and I love it. I've had roughly 5 different dirt boxes in the last 12 months, but this is my favourite.
15. I've got this configuration (volume/blend/tone) on my Blade and I love it. It's great for doing volume swells with one pickup "backed off" slightly - which is practically impossible with two independent volume controls.
16. bump for a top pedal. I'd buy it myself but i already got one. And love it.
17. What amused me was that in the poll results graph at the top none of the colors (sic) mentioned corresponded to the colour of the bar representing the result. I suppose that's ironic, and would have been missed by TBers on the whole.
18. I voted upgrade. For me the 'meat and potatoes' of a bass is how the neck feels. If you find one that works for you then keep hold of it. I've got a frankenbass that has the neck from a really dodgy Japcrap bass, but I just love the feel of it. I built the rest of the bass around being able to use that neck.
19. Free nostalgic bump. Ran one of these up and down the country for 6 years - rock solid and always delivered the goods. I was tempted myself but I'm afraid my wife would disagree somewhat....
20. Oh my, Bilbo, I can see I'll be very busy for the next few months. Thanks SOOOOOO much for this.
21. seconded - my GFS stuff arrived within the week.
22.
Well,it is pretty much the same spec as his other bass, just with wood pickup covers and an extra XLR output. Besides,he sounds pretty much the same whatever gear he's using.
yeah, I thought he already had one of these. It's the same spec as mine...and then I woke up!
