  1. I honestly can't remember the last timeI used mine in anger.
  2. Just tried these on my P, but it's just not the sound I'm after, so moving them on. Cut for a Fender style 4-in-line bass with 34" scale. Strings and silks in excellent condition. Price includes P&P to UK mainland.
  3. Nah, it's not a look that I'd be happy to sport down at the Dog and Duck; what shoes would go with that? In its defence though, as an SX instrument it'll play beautifully.
  4. Sansamp Paradriver is much more versatile as a preamp.
  5. I've got the same pickup added onto 2 of my Jazz basses - really versatile piece of kit.
  6. buy a cheap digital vernier calliper (about £8 or so) from Aldi or Amazon etc, and measure them accurately - with string gauge differences we're talking in thousands of an inch at times, so it's good to have an exact figure.
  7. Excellent choice. EHX make my favourite phaser (small stone) and chorus (small clone), but I’m not really a fan of any of their other stuff.
  8. Shiny shiny shiny boots of leather - Velvet Underground
  9. In Les’ defence, they’re playing a Rush album from start to finish! 😄
  10. Also something to factor in is the inclusion of GarageBand with every Mac OS. granted, it’s fairly basic and idiosyncratic, but if you don’t need to factor in buying extra software or licensing then you’ve got a couple of hundred extra to spend on a higher spec machine.
  11. Ms Ellis-Bextor’s cover of ‘take me home’. Luvverly
  12. I'd second the Mac option. Boatyard (I think it's called) do refurnished Apple stuff with warranties, so they might be worth a look.
  13. Too drunk to copulate - Dead Kennedys
  14. Or 2 2x10”s and stack them vertically 😉
  15. dunno, but as far as necks go, I reckon it might be a short-scale...
  16. Seriously, I get the idea of a national anthem, and think they are generally. good idea, but the British one isn't about the nation, it's about perpetuating the idea of hereditary privilege, and 'keeping us all in our place'. I suggest an instrumental is the way forward on this - none of those pesky forelock-tugging or jingoistic words to get in the way of a good melody. Can we have something with a bit more life in it though, 3/2 is a rubbish time signature.
  17. I wouldn't know; all the Dingles I've seen have most certainly (and without exception) been on the wrong side of the law.
