I’ve routed for, and fitted, MM pickups to all 3 of my basses, so it made sense for me to use an active EQ pedal for the times that I need the Stingray tone, saves 3 lots of circuitry and 3 lots of batteries.
I bought Californication on vinyl, and it’s mastered too hot for my turntable; I have to adjust the counterweight on the tonearm unless I want the stylus jumping out of the grooves.
Led Zeppelin remasters on vinyl sound sublime though.
If you're handy with an iron then you can swap the 33k (I think) resistor between pin 2 of the opamp and the gain pot - this sets the minimum gain of the unit.
Easier to buy a Spark though - those things are great.
