I bought Californication on vinyl, and it’s mastered too hot for my turntable; I have to adjust the counterweight on the tonearm unless I want the stylus jumping out of the grooves.
Led Zeppelin remasters on vinyl sound sublime though.
If you're handy with an iron then you can swap the 33k (I think) resistor between pin 2 of the opamp and the gain pot - this sets the minimum gain of the unit.
Easier to buy a Spark though - those things are great.
Hi, they have been on a fretted P with a 'standard' fender bridge. There's not much wear on the strings as it's my 'corner' bass, and sits redundant more often than not.

How far away are you standing from your amp?
low frequency sound has some looooonnnggggg wavelengths, could be that standing further (20ft or so) away from your amp might help you to experience more ‘bass’.
