I came across this article earlier; not content with decimating the income of recording artists, Spotify seems poised to start funding military AI research.

The infamous ‘pink book’, and its more complex sibling, the ‘blue book’.
Music student’s bible (old and new testaments), the AB guide to music theory parts one and two.
part 1 will see you up to grade 5, part two will see you WAAAYYYY beyond that. Essential reading for anyone sitting ABRSM exams, or just a good night in for theory geeks like me.
£10 for the pair.

Well thumbed, ring bound copy of Chuck sher’s brilliant guide to improvisation. Scales, modes, chromaticism - they’re all here, as well as some really useful transcriptions from Jaco, Mingus, Gomez, LaFaro etc…
now sold.
Original hardback ‘the bass book’ in glorious, gas-inducing technicolour.
gawp at old (mostly now dead) peoples instruments and imagine how much better you’d sound if you’d had their kit, or (and this is my favourite) curse yourself for selling the very instruments pictured before you.
I played a B Bass V for years, but I outgrew the skinny string spacing and moved onto fender style 5s, just because the string spacing was easier for me to navigate.
Has it been the same fault recurring, or was it something different each time? If it’s been going back in for the same fault time and time again then I’d be having a bit of a word, if not then it’s a different story. Not sure that £600 (or £800) in repairs over 3 years is a cost effective piece of kit.
I gigged up and down the country with an 1153 cab. Often it was augmented with a 2103h (2x10”) -both in landscape, but for the gigs when it was a choice between the 2 cabs I would always take the 1153
I reversed my usual P, so the d&g pickup were on the opposite side of the e&a one, closer to the neck and routed for a mm in the classic sweet spot.
I also put a coil tap switch on one of the mm coils so I could do the pj thing.
Better quality cable and jacks make a difference to your signal path.
There’s all sorts of variables in cable design capacitance/length/ frequency etc… So I’ve ended up making my own with van damme cable and neutron plugs. My main one has been running for nearly 30years, apart from whe n someone ran over it with an office chair, then I had to shorten it a bit. 😄
I’ve never had a problem with Fender though, when I’ve been caught short and had to use shop bought stuff.
In my experience it’s mostly down to how hard you’re plucking/picking.
Playing softer helps me to eliminate some of the clank. Flats will help reduce fretting hand noise too.
