  1. if it came to a decision between the two then I'd say it's easier give the sides of the neck heel a light sanding than the neck pocket - being able to sand a 90 degree internal corner (assuming you're doing it by hand) without leaving a step (and therefore not getting the fit perfect) is difficult. Then of course there's the radiused corners...
  2. I use a Prunes&Custard into an OC2 when I’m not going for a digital synth sound from the Zoom MS60B.

Or set it to trigger the tap tempo function.
  6. I’m willing to give you something for it if you want to part ways with it.

I use mine for synth sounds and modulations. The reverbs are pretty good too, but I’m not a reverb user on bass. I’ve run my guitar through it whilst using the compression and reverb and it does a pretty good job in those departments too.
  8. This. 4 to a bar. Always. The sound of an upright can be faked (to a degree) by muting the strings with your hand at the bridge, and plucking with the side of your thumb - really gives a 'thunk' sound.
  9. This sounds like it’s the sort of thing you’re after; 12 bar blues with lots of ‘extras’ to keep things interesting:
  10. Reagan’s Raygun. Maggie Thatcher, Milk Snatcher.
  11. Aww, why do I see this just as the cricket season ends?
  12. Running round the fountains in Trafalgar Square - George Formby
  13. I tried not to use one, as I like having individual pedals that I can adjust on the fly if I need to, but realistically, some of the dep work so do uses synth bass sounds, so it’s just easier to store a patch that turn on a compressor, octaver, filter and chorus at the same time, and allows for different patch variations to be saved ( slower or faster filter sweep, depending on tempo), so I’m all in. I still use a lot of analogue pedals though; the overdrives just ‘feel’ better from a playing perspective.
  14. What was going through their mind? Lysergic acid diethylamide, and lots of it.
  15. The fact that the XLR output is working means that the preamp is probably OK. The problem is probably your power amp stage - are these valve or solid state power stage?
  16. My personal favourite is the chunk systems Agent 00Funk.
