  1. This sounds like it’s the sort of thing you’re after; 12 bar blues with lots of ‘extras’ to keep things interesting:
  2. Awesome, this is brilliant!
  3. Reagan’s Raygun. Maggie Thatcher, Milk Snatcher.
  4. Aww, why do I see this just as the cricket season ends?
  5. My Name is Prince - Prince (durr)
  6. The white stilettos
  7. Running round the fountains in Trafalgar Square - George Formby
  8. I tried not to use one, as I like having individual pedals that I can adjust on the fly if I need to, but realistically, some of the dep work so do uses synth bass sounds, so it’s just easier to store a patch that turn on a compressor, octaver, filter and chorus at the same time, and allows for different patch variations to be saved ( slower or faster filter sweep, depending on tempo), so I’m all in. I still use a lot of analogue pedals though; the overdrives just ‘feel’ better from a playing perspective.
  9. That is a *beautiful* bass!!!
  10. Everybody’s free - Rozalla
  11. What was going through their mind? Lysergic acid diethylamide, and lots of it.
  12. Dancing in the moonlight- Thin Lizzy
  13. The fact that the XLR output is working means that the preamp is probably OK. The problem is probably your power amp stage - are these valve or solid state power stage?
  14. My personal favourite is the chunk systems Agent 00Funk.
  15. You might say that, I couldn't possibly comment.
  16. Morrissey is a twunt, that’s understood. Andy Rourke was a cellist before being a bass player, so I reckon that’s where to melodic side of his playing came from. I met him once. We did not get on.
  17. first off, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to your skinny-stringed comrade. Nirvana stuff?
  18. And with enough delay it’ll last well into the night too!
  19. Wash yer ‘ands yer filthy pig! 😄
  20. Erm, a DI box is a cable adapter… 😄
  21. Jesus!
  22. I’d plump for a cable, but definitely longer than the one above, with a right angled TRS jack plug just in case it gets bumped. Your sound / recording engineer won’t thank you if it gets knocked out by accident because it’s a 2” long metal plug sticking out of your amp like a chapel coat peg.
  23. This, on the other hand, is a thing of beauty… Les Claypool’s ‘Rainbow’ 6 string fretless Carl Thompson.
  24. I always loved this, even before I’d heard the album. Not sure I’d pay money for it though.
  25. Lemmy’s ‘Rickenbastard’ has to be one of the most iconic basses ever.
