  1. This bad boy: It’s got this beautiful booklet that strips away the layers of the figure on the front, so I took a punt on it. It also contained some of the best music I’d heard for a good long while.
  2. Bumperoo, will trade for a cheap looper pedal.

As long as it’s filtered I can’t see much difference; typically drive and boost circuits don’t drain much juice.
  5. EWS bass mid control is an amazing pedal; tiny footprint but incredibly flexible: I’d take one over an eq pedal any day.
  6. Finished 3 pedals this weekend - I might need a bigger board...

Veroboard; there’s only a couple of millimetres between the perfboard and veroboard layouts I had. might build another that’s tuned slightly higher in the bass and lower in the treble to suit a P bass...
  8. As a counterpoint to all of this tomfoolery I forward this brooding ballad from messers Mulligan and O’Hare...

Just finished a’classic’ 2 band Stingray eq preamp. Now then, as 2 of my basses have had a MM pickup fitted, do Instick it in a pedal or get the router out...?
  10. I’ll just leave this here... https://youtu.be/jHPOzQzk9Qo
  11. MojoJojo would be a good place to start then.
  12. I’ve always had a soft spot for Alan Sherman; my dad used to play the LP when I was a nipper.
  13. Strong glue and lots of clamps. Clamps everywhere, you can never have too many!! seriously though, glue and clamp should be fine, unless you just want to scrape the crack out and use wood filler, but I’d glue and clamp.
  14. Nope. Been home schooling as well as having long covid, so actually had less time to play than normal. ☹️
  15. Then of course there’s this classic from Victoria Wood...
  16. I’ve had to use GB in collaborations with their musos during lockdown. Dreadful. Admittedly I’ve been using ProTools for ten years now...
  17. Forgotten I’d made this- it’s been a long lockdown! clone of the DOD FX25 envelope filter with controls for sensitivity and frequency...and a couple of mods... ...switchable between the original band-pass filter and a more bass-friendly low-pass filter, and a 3-way toggle switch between 3 settings for envelope decay settings; original (long), medium and short. Powered by 9v centre negative adaptor (not included) Now £35 posted to mainland UK address.
