  1. Oh my Christ!! I like the way he highlights the small chips in the body, just in case you’re worried about that sort of thing!
  2. Strictly speaking though, this is Orthodontics, not GDP territory.
  3. New Fang - them crooked cultures
  4. ‘Cycling shorts’ style undergarments are great for keeping the bottom end nice and tight - perfect for playing in the pocket.
  5. Long story short, my ageing Fostex T10 headphones are broken, and I need to have some replacement parts made, as they are not available anymore. I’ve looked on thingiverse and found the files for a different model, but not the T10s. Are there any BCers who can turn a drawing into a physical object who would be prepared to make me some parts?
  6. All of the above! Back on topic - 1990 saw the release of Megadeth’s seminal ‘Rust In Peace’.
  7. I'm a sucker for pearloid pick guard, but against that mint green I just think the plain original looks better.
  8. 500k pots will definitely let more top end through, I put them on all of my basses and it’s lovely and bright!
  9. Oops. If you’ve gone straight from the iPod to the instrument input socket then you’ve probably had a positive loop and killed the amp due to very high frequency oscillations at full volume. I’m sorry for your loss.
  10. Are you sure that the switch and pots are ok?
  11. This.I moved to Pro Tools after 20years of Cubase as I had some multi track drum takes (7 mic setup I think) and at the time Cubase wouldn’t let me group all of the tracks and time stretch them together, but keep them as separate tracks. Admittedly that was a looooonnnngggg time ago (Cubase SX 2 or 3 I think), so I jumped ship. Within months there was a new release that would let me do that, but the client wouldn’t have waited that long!! These days they’re pretty much identical as regards features.
  12. It the string loose in the nut slot? Could also be a loose screw at the bridge end - intonation screw or saddle height adjustment.
  13. I’ve been using PT for a couple of decades. When my MacBook Pro eventually dies I’ll be moving to Logic, since it’s significantly cheaper than the protools subscription model. I bought a perpetual license about 5 years ago, when the subscription thing came out, but there are some plugins than only work if you have a current subscription, so it’s a bit of a con really.

    Which DAW?

As a Pro Tools user I can honestly say that I can't recommend it. The software itself is amazing - editing is a breeze, and the sound of the audio engine is great. The annoying thing is that it doesn't come with a great deal of virtual instruments, but the deal-breaker is the astronomical fee for the software - especially the ludicrous 'subscription' debacle. You're far better off going for Cubase, Logic or Reaper etc... as regards value for money.
  15. I'll see you, and rain you Led Zeppelin I and Led Zeppelin II!
  16. Yes. Yes it is. I really like ‘Rock Steady’ though - ND with Sly and Robbie at the helm with a smattering of Prince dropped into the mix? Yes please!
  17. Faith No More’s debut ‘Introduce yourself’ is dog stinky poo, their next effort ‘The Real Thing’ is amazing!
  18. Stevie Wonder's 'I just called to say I love you' The Cure's 'Friday I'm in love'
