Primus with the Funghi Ensemble at Manchester Apollo supporting the ‘Willy Wonka’ album. 1st set was just Primus, 2nd set was the entire ‘Wonka’ album and these were both very good. The 3rd set/encore was more Primus material with added cello and pitched percussion, and it just kicked off! A massive improvement on their previous ‘Green Naugahyde’ tour, which was a bit lacklustre.

Simply because of the ratio of music to Morrissey in ‘How soon is now’. The rest of the album (Meat is murder) is a bit of a whinge-fest, particularly the title track, so for non-fans it’s best to take that track in isolation.

I agree with almost all of what’s been said before; Ampeg cabs have a massive influence in the sound system of Ampeg rigs. I’ve fogged festivals where the back line was pretty much always an Ampeg 8x10”, and no matter what head it’s been (Ampeg, Hartke, Ashdown etc...) it’s always just sounded like an 8x10”!

Nice heads are more important than a drum brain - that can always be updated later. Learning on ‘hard’ pads will alter a player’s technique.

This particular example is only 300€.

I’ve used both the lh500 and lh1000 - sometimes it was mine, other times it was the back line at festivals and I’ve never found them lacking in anything. The only real difference (apart from an extra 500W) is that the LH1000 can be bridged to run at 4ohms.
