  1. The V2 has is a massive improvement on the V1 - I only sold mine as something else came up for sale that I had a real gassing for.
  2. Crackling of any sort would indicate a loose connection or dry solder joint, the fact that it disappears when you touch the strings suggests that you’ve also got a shielding problem.
  3. A really short scale jazz bass - he’ll grow into it!! Congrats!
  4. Ooh, we can ‘ave a fiddle about!
  5. What other gear are you using?
  6. Dunlop tortex .88 for me, and tortex .6 for guitar. I sweat A LOT when playing live, and tortex picks are the ones I drop less often.

I think you’re right - 10uf is too large to be anything but a power filtering capacitor, so that’s the one going to ground. the lead coming off the volume pot is the output, and that can only mean that the signal input is the grey one. edit: hopefully this will be of some use to you:

Easiest way would be to gear a multimeter across to measure continuity. second easiest is to flip the board over and see which one goes to a 10nf capacitor (with a 2.2M to ground), then a 10k resistor into an IC - that’s the input. the output of that circuit has a 100k resistor to ground on it.
  9. Or maybe it’s a mix of the two!
  10. Wow!!!
  11. https://audioplugin.deals/amplitube-svx-by-ik-multimedia-free-download/ref/11/?campaign=AmpliTubeSVX 🤘
  12. Yup, great octave practice too!
  13. Anth bought my EHX Bass Clone - really quick, easy transaction. Recommended BC’er.
  14. Amplitube SVX is free at the moment- guaranteed to work!!
  15. If collection isn’t possible then you’ll have to courier this - RM won’t take aerosols in the post.
  16. SOLD
  17. Replied.
  18. There are no winners here. 🙁
  19. Dunno really, I’m currently very happy with my basses - all 3 are ‘bitsa’ builds, and I’ve built them to meet my own playing needs, so I guess I’m alright for basses. It’s be great to play through an old B-15, so I’d probably buy one of those (not technically new though, so I’m not sure it that counts). Failing that I’d go with an Ampeg 6x10 and an SVT Classic head. On an unrelated note I’d probably get a new sofa too.
  20. Jesus! Wanna lay off the Heineken?!?
  21. SOLD Just sorted out a Zoom b1-four, so am clearing out some of my individual pedals. World’s smallest (and best) OC-2 clone. In excellent condition, boxed, and with Velcro on the underside.
  22. Nope, not at all, the pots are grounded to the output jack via the metal jack plate, so they are all a common ground. Personally I’d wire to the output jack - reason being, if the jack works loose during a gig then it’s still connected and you’ll be able to get through it!
  23. Pickup hot (signal) usually goes to the middle lug, output (and signal from other pickup)!goes to the one on the left of that (assuming the 3 lugs are at the bottom of the pot), ground(s) goes to the other one.
