1. Ah. I see now. Cheers.
2. I don't think it's as simple as that. I'm currently using a laptop with IE, and can see locations (when they're there...) without having to delve into profiles. However, despite seeing several statements from admins etc that there are no longer different mobile and full/desktop sites, my own experience is different, when I'm using different devices (desktop/mobile/tablet) and browsers. I don't see locations on my phone.
3. FWIW, I had a location set on the old site. Upon seeing your post above, I checked my details in My Profile, and my location was blank, so I guess at least some locations were lost during the change to the new forum site/software/
4. Can ya move that lot mate - I can't see the telly.
5. Yup...me too. I see lots of wasted space and tiny text (viewing almost exclusively on mobile devices)
6. Scrap that. Nothing changed here, and prices are now showing where they weren't before...
7. Really? Looking at the Ashdown 4x8 ad, on the 1st page, as an example - I can't see a price anywhere. FWIW I'm using an Amazon Fire tablet, with the default Silk browser, and I've tried both the desktop and mobile view. Edit: just tried Opera...no different. I'll get a laptop out, and give that a go. Edit: OK - I've tried Firefox and Chrome on Windows, and it's working. Tried the default browser on my Samsung (Android) phone, and the price is still not showing. Tried Firefox on the phone, and the price is there. Looks like it's a browser thing
8. Seems that the "price" field has gone AWOL. Unless the price is mentioned in the thread title or body text, old For Sale ads don't show a price. Or am I missing something?
9. Apparently, as I've been looking at cameras and stuff lately, I should also be interested in food mixers and other kitchen gadgets that I didn't even know existed. An egg boiler that looks like a chicken FFS!
10.
Thanks for all the replies. Lot's of guys seem here, and on Facebook seem to like the Lithium Eneloops, so I think I'm going for a few of those .
Good luck with that...
11.
I have had, on more than one occasion. The second and third times were because I can be a slow learner. Overweight, didn't sound great. Vastly overrated. That's TE, not me.
Me too. Sorry Mick !
12.
If you're daisy-chaining one cab into another from only one of the speaker outputs will give you an impedance of 12Ω (summing the cab impedances together),
No, unless there's an unusual arrangement with the speaker leads/wiring, it'll be a parallel connection (2.6 Ohm) just the same.
13.
...if I ran from amp > cab 1 (4ohm) > cab 2 (8ohm) in series...
Unless you use special/custom speaker cables, the connections will be parallel.
14.
There are a lot of EVO heads around pretty cheap, but they don't have the graphic, or have 7 bands.
Don't the ABM's all have 7 band eq ?
15. From an old thread that I stumbled upon while looking into these a while ago: ---x--- The MOSFET version was dumped around '98 due to reliability issues, in favor of a bipolar transistor design. The MOSFET versions would literally go up in flames, and you cannot get a MOSFET replacement PCB, only a bipolar retrofit. Another reason why it was dumped can be the fact that it used lateral MOSFETs (most probably 2SK135/2SJ... from Hitachi) which are not manufactured any more and replacements are expensive. Also DBX integrated circuits are not manufacured any more (at least to my knowledge). ---x--- I've no idea if any of that's fact...
16.
I've done some googling at it was probably a 1 or a 1A
Sounds like a 1, rather than a 1a, assuming it"s original and not modded. The 1 is passive, just vol/tone and no switches. Might say on the truss rod cover.
17.
This is a shame, I`ve always had great service from them, couldn`t fault it at all.
Same for me.
18.
Amazingly still here. Am guessing it's the location rather than the bargain price
Yup...
19. The Super 12 is G2, and has ports on the side. http://barefacedbass.com/which-barefaced.htm
20.
I'd go Yamaha BB424X if I were you...
+1
It took ages to get right ... and sounded awful.
???
22. The B3 only allows 3 effects, rather than 5 on the B1. It also doesn't have an aux input or an expression pedal built in - although you can add one. I haven't scrutinised the effects lists, but they're pretty much the same IIRC. In a gig situation, I'd take the B3 every time. For me it's much easier to use - the 3 footswitches can be used just like they're individual pedals - and much easier to tweak 'on the fly'. And it's 3x the price...
23. Yup, parallel. 2 x 8 Ohm = 4 Ohm.
24. Hmm...that's the opposite of how my BB1024 truss rod adjustment works.
25.
The necks on the 414/614 are better IMHO than the 424/1024.
Better? Or just different, but more to your liking?
