1. Trade or sale value: [s]£1100[/s] Trade or sale value: £1000 Hi guys, just a feeler at the moment but possibly looking to move this on due to a recent car crash leading to the purchase of a new car, which then needed new brakes within a week - as a result, super skint and looking at possible ways of making cash this month. Possibly looking to trade / part-ex with cash my way, or straight sale. Great USA made Jazz Bass Deluxe; 18v pre-amp, noiseless N3 pickups, 3-band EQ, active/passive switch. Bound rosewood fretboard with block inlays. 3 tone sunburst with black scratch plate. Some minor wear on the finish and a scratch on the back (presumably from a belt buckle). Otherwise in great condition and comes with the original Fender case and all case candy. Swap wise, I would happily consider a Sandberg, Windmill, Mayones, Lakland etc. (or other typical Jazz Bass or P basses) as long as there's some cash in it my way. Feel free to message me and I'll get back to you with any other details. Check out the fender site for more specs: http://www.fender.com/en-GB/series/american-deluxe/american-deluxe-jazz-bass-rosewood-fingerboard-3-color-sunburst-3-ply-bwb-pickguard/ Pics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2z8hpf34pq6dton/2PHpB6BWrb
2. Bought a SansAmp BDDI from Supabock and despite a false start with me bailing out on collection at the last minute, item was posted, well packaged and delivered in good time, exactly as described. Great to deal with; good comms and very prompt despatch. Cheers!
3. Recently traded basses with Jason and have nothing but good words about him. Great guy to deal with, nice easy trade with no fuss, and got to hang out chatting about all things bass for a while. Thanks Jason; loving the new bass!
4. It's amazing how little attention this bass gets, but until you've tried it, I think the name puts people off... I can testify that this is a killer bass for the money; you could easily spend 2 or 3 times the amount and get a bass that's not built as well, plays as fast or sounds as good. Carlos is also a delight to deal with. That said, I'm angling to buy this back if I can raise the cash... Have a bump for a much better than you'd ever expect bass.
5. Now traded. Thanks for all the interest.
6.
Any interest in the P Bass in my pics ? it's got the extra Jazz pup, both are EMG's the whole thing was worked on by Martin at the Gallery a while back including a new high mass bridge, new electronics with loads of control, active, new battery compartment in the back, back of the neck cleaned and sanded, new tort scratchplate, over £350 of work alone ! I've owned it since around 1990. Plays like a dream. hmm i may have talked myself out of this.
Nice! Very very nice.
7. Bump! Now very open to sell as one of my old basses has just made a reappearance and I need to raise funds fast to grab it while it's around.
8.
Ah... Tempting... But it should be sherwood or teal green with a maple f'board... If such a thing exists... I just recorded a video with it and I'm having second thoughts myself
P.s. I've got the maple board, nothing a bucket of paint can't fix for the body
9. Haha, nothing too specific then I bet the Barts make the Tanglewood sound sublime. The build of that bass is absolutely first rate but I think the p'ups were the only downside...hmmm, might need to post a quick 'for sale' ad.
10. On second thoughts....fancy a trade for a Lakland Skyline DJ4 with a bit of cash my way?
11. Great bass....wish I had the spare cash to get this one back off you!
12. Aaahh, the one that got away. Please tell me you'd consider a trade for my Lakland Skyline DJ4?
13. OMG....been after one of these for ages. Please trade for a Lakland Skyline DJ4?
14.
I wasn't going to trade this, but I have a MusicMan Sterling I'd be up for trading: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/217641-fs-usa-musicman-sterling-l700-price-drop-again/
Very tempting as that looks like a lovely Sterling...looking for something with a chunkier neck profile though; I'm finding the jazz style necks a bit too small for my clamp hands.
15. So, I picked up this lovely Lakland Skyline in a trade earlier this year and it's a fantastic bass; recently used for a recording and the natural tone was so excellent I recorded it like that. I'm not sure if I really want to part ways with it, but thought I'd put it up for trade to see what is out there. I believe it's a Lankland Skyline DJ4, however the Lakland site doesn't list a natural finish, so not 100% sure. Jazz bass with maple neck, maple fretboard and black block inlays, natural finish swamp ash body. Currently strung with flatwounds which makes for a great vintage tone set up. Condition wise, it's great, aside from a couple of small dings on the back of the neck (most noticeable directly behind the 3rd fret) and headstock. In terms of trades, I'm looking for something along the lines of a Warwick $$, Warwick FNA Jazzman, Spector, MusicMan, Sandberg or good P-Bass (perhaps with the extra J pickup in bridge position), or what ever is out there that might be interesting. Certainly not in any hurry to move it on, and regrettably not in a position to trade up. What have you got? p.s. sorry for the crappy pics, had to take them in a hurry; will post some better ones if requested.
16. This still up for grabs? Had the pleasure of trying one out in a studio at the weekend and have finally realised what was creating that bass 'Umami' that's been alluding me for all these years; just a little bit of drive and the SansAmp does it perfectly.
17.
Stunning, love it. Glad you're ok from the crash, sorry to hear that
Thanks man!! Yeah, everyone involved was fine, except the cars! No love for the Onyx? For anyone up North I'm in Leeds this weekend with it if you'd like to check it out!
18. Ridiculously good bass for the price!! Awesome tone and versatility and built like a tank. If I wasn't trying to raise cash myself I'd have PMd you already!! Looks like a nice one too! GLWTS.
19. You mention trades....anything particular in mind?! I'm in need of a P-bass and this would be mint. I also happen to be in Leeds this weekend...with my 'None more black' MM Sterling Ltd Edition...any interest? I could come to you.
20. Back in Leeds again this weekend with the MM Sterling....any chance of a part-ex?
21. Nice!!! In Leeds this weekend if you've any interest in a trade for a MM Sterling Ltd Edition in Onyx Black?.
22. Hi all! Due to an unfortunate car crash last weekend and a written-off car, I'm in desperate need of raising funds (again). So, back up is my lovely MusicMan Sterling Limited Edition in Onyx Black 4 string bass. You know the deal, but here's a few details: This is a standard scale bass, thin jazz bass style neck with single MM pickup. Active electronics with 3-band EQ and coil tap switch for the pickup (series/parallel/single coil). Bass comes with MM hardcase, certificate of authenticity and all case candy. Numbered as 132/150 (S/N: F08012). Looking for a straight sale at £1000, or part exchange for a Fender P-Bass (preferably around the £500 mark) with cash my way. Awesome bass and awesome sound, but need to raise some cash promptly. Any questions, please let me know. Cheers, chuck
