1. Never heard of Windmill before, but that is one sweet looking bass.
2. Just been trying to do the maths on the fly and my brain is failing me, does £50 sound reasonable?
3. I'm in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Though, as I say I'm happy to deliver within 150/200 miles (i.e. Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry etc.) for the cost of the fuel to get there and back
4. Hi all, Up for sale is an early to mid nineties Warwick Wamp 180 Combo amp. It's a separate rack head which can be removed from the 1x 15" cabinet. It's a basic amp, pumps out a nice sound and with the 4 band EQ and low/high boost switches gives a variety of tones. Being nearly 20 years old the cab has picked up a few war wounds, otherwise in perfect working order. The cab is covered in a rather fetching dark grey, textured plastic (textured with the Warwick W); I always planned to cover it with something a bit more pleasant, but then, if it sounds alright, what's the point? Also, in my teenage days, I thought it would look cool to stick a picture of Chef from South Park on the amp head; I'll throw that extra piece of awesomeness in for no extra charge, along with the Zuma Jay sticker that also adorns the cabinet. Obviously I was paranoid about thieves and wanted to easily identify my amp among the millions of other grey plastic covered monstrosities. It's at my guitarists house at the moment, so can't take any pics but if you watch the first bit of the video below, you can see (and hear) it in action. All aesthetic jokes aside, it's a great little amp and has done me well over the years; never failed or needed repair of any kind (excluding gaffer tape). I've been trying to dig out the manual, but I can't find it anywhere and the Warwick manuals I've found online only contain information like EQ voicing settings as opposed to something useful like the output or impedance, but from recollection it's a 180watts at 8ohms. It does support two cabs, so presumably it'd be something like 250watts at 4ohms? Anyway, that's enough jibber-jabber. Located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent I'd prefer collection but will deliver within 150 miles if the buyer pays for fuel. [s]£150[/s] £125
5. Hi all, Due to a recent acquisition I'm getting rid of some gear to clear some space, and because (as always) I seem to need the money. It's a great rig which pumps out a nice sound, perfect for Rock or just about anything else you want and perfect for small to medium size venues. So, up for grabs either as a whole rig or separate sale are: Gallien-Krueger 400RB-IV head, in excellent condition. Clean and scratchless pots all in good working order. It's a rack head, which comes with a custom made cover (made by Matamp). Suitable for either one or two 8 Ohm cabs, or a single 4 Ohm. This has been gigged but is in excellent condition. 280watts (4ohms) 180watts (8ohms). Active 4-band EQ. Adjustable Contour, Presence & 4/5 String voicing. Boost (Valve Effect) Effects loop, Tuner out with Tuning Mute. XLR out with Level, Ground Lift & Pre/Postswitch. Speakon & 1/4"outputs. 19x3.5x8 (2 rack spaces) 16.5 Ibs (not including custom cover). Ampeg B-410HLF 400watt cab. This is the 4 ohm, 4x10 cab with the additional horn and has removable casters on the bottom. A fantastic cab which has been gigged but is, aside from a bit of dust, in near mint condition. 4x 10" speakers 1x 1" horn driver 400W RMS @ 4ohm 50Hz-18kHz 2 x 6,3 mm jack input Dimensions: 65.5 x 58 x 44.5cm, weight: 40kg I'm looking for a quick sale, so priced the whole rig to sell at a tasty £[s]550[/s] £400 (plus delivery). Head alone: £350 Cab alone: £250 Obviously, due to weight, collection is preferred however I'm willing to deliver within 150 miles of Tunbridge Wells if the buyer is happy to cover the fuel costs. I will indulge sensible offers but as this is a cash raising exercise, I'm not too interested in trades. Thanks for looking Any questions (or more pictures), please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers!
6. Aye carumba!! A blooming gorgeous Sandberg for only £650. Why don't I have any money :'(
7. Mmm, always regretted trading my Lakie... I don't suppose you'd consider selling. Not that I currently have funds, but if you were I might sell a body part or two
8.
I'd be interested in the preamp if you came to split. (Not the response you're really after I know, I think we all know its a nice bass - my lad has a Tanglewood bass and loves it - just currently trying to reduce my numbers too.)
Hehe, oddly enough I've had a bunch of people enquiring about the pre-amp, but no interest in the bass itself. My circumstances in the past 24 hours have changed dramatically for the better, so I might not be so keen to part ways with either. Mustn't count my chickens before they hatch, so to speak, so will leave it here for the moment until I know for sure. Cheers!
9. Just a quick sound clip bump. Sorry about the poor audio, I recorded it in Ableton and I'm not exactly familiar with it yet, but you get the idea. This is the Baron recorded via DI, flat EQ, even blend on pups and no processing at all (EQ, compression, filters etc.). Played using fingers, over the P p'up. Sorry about the crappy drums (and playing for that matter too). http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8800648/Baron%20Bass%20-%20Both%20Pups%20-%20Flat%20EQ.mp3
10. LukeFrc sent me over here and i'm really interested to find this thread. Seems there's more than a few weird but wonderful Tanglewoods out there. I've got a Tanglewood Baron bass (according to Tanglewood it's one of only 120 made) circa 1995 which has been pimped with an East U-Retro pre, but otherwise everything is as stock and my, what a bass! Like the OP I've owned and sold some 30+ basses and the Baron always stayed. Seems to be a cross somewhere between a Spector, Warwick and Ibanez. That said, I've put it up for sale due to financial issues, much to my chagrin. I wonder how many other unusual Tanglewood's there are out there?
11. Sunday bump. Any last chance offers? Might sell the pre-amp and bass separately if anyone is interested.
12. Absolutely superb basses. Excellent tone, lovely playability and built like tanks (with weight to go with them). Used to have a 4-string with the additional j pup in neck position. Along with my Sandberg it's in the 'one that got away'category. Best of luck with the sale - it's an absolute bargain!
13.
Sadly my GAS is sated for a little while (picked up a couple of basses from Geordieland a month ago) otherwise I would be all over this bargain. Trying to stick to a 'one in,one out' regimen can be hard at times :{ Have a bump while I look around and wonder what can go.
I hear you! I ended up with 7 basses at one point until I adopted a similar policy. I've missed out on some killer bargains as a result but it's probably for the best Thanks for the bump, it is a real bargain so let me know if you figure something out
14.
Man, with that spec if it had 'another' name on it, maybe starting with Wa or Sp it would sell in a second!! Have a bump on me
LOL, ain't that the truth. Sad but true. Bump for drastic, this needs to sell in 24 hours or it's going to the cash converters / evilBay price drop.
15. No problem, having to shift my LJ bass too, so if that moves and you've still got this, I'd be very interested. Anyway, best of luck with the trade!
16. Oh my, that is just about the most perfect Sandberg I could imagine. Don't suppose you have any desire a tanglewood p/j + East pre, weighing in at 9lbs?
17. Awesome! Anything in my sig tickle your fancy?
18. Still available for sale, will entertain offers if anyone doesn't like the asking price. Sadly, it really needs to go
19. Hehe, I don't blame you. It's a real beauty Absolutely amazing bass...
