1. Yowsers! That's one sweet looking bass. Sadly that's wayhayhay out of my price range. Best of luck with the sale!
2. Absolutely fantastic basses for the money. Used to have the ATK400 and have regretted selling it ever since.
3.
You've had this bass for 14 years and it took you 2 months to post it on here from when you joined? Tut tut. Also why did it take me 8 months to comment on it? Shame on me. I like it, reminds me of an SCG nanyo or an aria or something.
Hey man, yeah I'm still not convinced I want to sell it.....it's such a beauty, but when needs must, and since the acquisition of the Louis Johnson, it really is surplus to requirements
4.
Lots pf Tenacious D stage slide training must have worn the knees out of those those jeans...:-) Solid blues.
Haha, yeah you're not wrong. Sadly, I'm too old to handle the knee slides any more and have to settle for looking like I do instead Cheers
5. Hi guys, Just a quick post to draw your attention to some live performance coverage of my latest band, Raw Peaches who headlined the On The Edge festival last Saturday at Temple Works in Leeds. If you like a bit of bluesy rock and funky soul, then check out a couple of our covers here: 'Use me': http://youtu.be/1IrC7__6y9o 'Hoochie Coochie Man': http://youtu.be/T8BwucObsYU I hope you like them If not, you can at least enjoy my somewhat unusual and 'funky' moves
6. Buy this bass. It's awesome. Literally, kilo's of awesome in a bass shaped package
7.
haha.. yeah prob ok with external links... just amused me.. i kept scrolling down and the giant pictures kept beating me to it!! yeah i've never seen another six string one, pretty rare i think (i found mine in some backstreet music shop)... i was dabbling with six string basses at the time and it played loads better than a yamaha trb6 i tried.
LOL, sorry about that. I really haven't quite figured out the best way of inserting lots of large images... ...Hope you all had a nice weekend. Monday = bump & price drop day
8. Hey there! How about my lovely Tanglewood and cash your way?
9.
someone didn't read the post about large attachments!!! nice bass.. i used to have a six string version of this and was surprisingly good quality and playability for a 'lesser' brand name... so have a bumpage!
Hey man, Thanks for the message and bump Does it count as attachment if it's a link in the post to an externally hosted image? If so....oops! Might have to remedy that and stick them on Photobucket or something where I can share a folder. I didn't know they made these in 6 string versions, but you're right about the playability and quality. Since first acquiring this, I've owned and sold; Squier Jazz, Cort C4H, Tanglewood Canyon 2, Vester Clipper, Yamaha RBX A2, Clover Xpression, Sandberg PM4, Warwick Corvette $$, MusicMan SUB, Lakland 44-02 Deluxe & a Spector Euro...to name just a few and the Tanglewood always came out on top. Perhaps not as versatile tonally as some of the others (although it is now with the East pre-amp), but always a delight to play and amazingly comfortable for a 9lb bass.
10.
send me some pics of it via pm
PM'd
11. This is now up for sale, here: Tanglewood Baron
12. Ay caramba!! That is one stunning looking bass! I have a narrow width nut bass for sale, sadly I'd not be able to afford the £1200 cash adjustment I second the East (or other) pre-amp suggestion. The pre-amp can really make or break an active bass...there's some great ones out there if the stock pre-amp doesn't cut the mustard.
13.
That Tanglewood is not what I expected, ive got a funny feeling it might have been made in the Cort factory as it looks very similar to the Cort Artisan basses. 4 strings aint really my bag tho, but good luck getting it shifted
Thanks man! Yeah, it's not like any other Tanglewood I've seen/played...totally in a class of its own. A few people have mentioned the Cort Artisan resemblance, must be something in it! Back to the post in question.....Sandbergs are just awesome instruments and well above their price point in terms of spec and build quality. At this price...it's criminal this is still here.
14.
christ how is this still here at this price, thats under half what they are new now!!!! Someone buy this beaut, for this money....well even new they punch well above their weight for the price. get it bought someone..
+1
15. Just out of GAS-style curiosity, what are you asking for this as a straight sale? Also, have you any interest in a GB Spitfire 'Super Jazz' 4 string? Alder body, quilted maple top, birdseye maple neck and fretboard?
16. Oh, if only I had the money to buy this....fancy a trade for a Tanglewood 4 string
17. Really not much love for this beauty. I guess maybe that's my answer about whether or not to sell this right there If I'm shooting a bit high with my asking price, feel free to make me an offer
18. Ah man, that SUB is a belter. Makes me wish I'd never gotten rid of mine. If I had the readies, this would be a gone!
19. Absolutely cracking basses for the price. I had the 400 version of this, but sold it ages back to fund another purchase; something I always regretted. If I weren't selling some items myself to raise funds for a relocation, I'd seriously consider buying it. You'd be hard pushed to find a bass with better bang for the buck. Rock solid build, great tonal palette and lovely to play. If you're looking for a cheap Stingray type bass, this would stand you in good stead.
