  1. I haven't done any recording with it but I like the sound of it with bass. You can change the number of stages, the wave shape plus the usual mix, depth, rate, so it's pretty versatile. Though I'm guilty of set and forget. It can get pretty wild with the delay feature, so I don't really use that function (might if I had a TRS cable).
  2. I recieved 2 new pedals today, a Boss OC-2 and a Demedash Spidola Germanium fuzz (the silver one), so they were straight on the board for my gig tonight (it's a soul band so won't get much use!). They might get more use in my original band...
  3. Ordered both of these before Xmas and they both arrived today. The OC-2 is, of course, the gold standard of octave pedals. It's more subby and tracks a lot better than I expected. Demedash are a small company in Manitoba in Canada (I think a video was recommended to me on Instagram). He only makes a few pedals but they're very cool. This is the Spidola Germanium Fuzz. I basically wanted something smaller than my Malekko B:Assmaster (keeping it obviously, it may go back on the board).
  4. Anyone ever used an 80s Ibanez OT10? Seen them floating around the interwebs.
  5. thanks for the tip! just checked and apparently the Doom 2s went up today and were all gone in 2 minutes 😪
  6. What does the RC Booster actually do? is it a drive or just a clean boost?
  7. I know I'm guilty of becoming more obsessed with pedals over lockdown. When I wasn't gigging it was a way of feeling like I was still engaging in music, and they're cheaper than buying endless basses (usually). It might make you angry to watch the JHS YT channel, the guy has literally EVERY version of every pedal.
  8. How to start a fight in a bass player's bar 😅
  9. I would agree its the best he's ever made (though the Proton 4 is no slouch). I paid £300 for mine which I was happy paying but I don't think I would pay much over that. But the price will rise to whatever the market can support. If people are willing to pay £5k for a klon, why not £500 for a Chromatron?
  10. I will find him... I'm sure I could but owning the pedals is more important to me than having the money (currently!).
  11. Just read it. Annoyed I didn't get in quicker and finally get the Doom 2 I've been wanting! The changes he's making seem reasonable, it's the way Iron Ether does things.
  12. The last ones I saw here was expensive but not as outlandish as these examples (almost bought the Octabvre mini but got a speeding fine and couldn't afford it 😪) I think the Chromatron was in the US and the Octabvre was in Germany. I didn't consider that it might be a scam... its a very niche one if it is!!
  13. Both on Reverb 😅 I'm mostly mad coz I want them!
  14. Anyone noticed an insane increase in the price of 3Leaf Audio pedals? I recently saw a Chromatron up for about £700, then last night saw an Octabvre mk2 on sale for £800. It was gone by this morning! I understand why, they're amazing pedals and Spencer isn't building at the moment, or at least is only filling back orders, but it still seems a bit ridiculous, like the original Klons that go for £5k.
  15. I bought this from a friend on a whim but never ended up using it. £25 posted to mainland UK.
  16. Very nice! What is the Bright Onion pedal for? I feel like pedal shelves might become a thing here...
  17. ... that space on the top row though... 😜 but seriously, beautiful board.
  18. I had a quick search and there's a few up on eBay and Reverb, not sure on the location though. I would highly recommend it.
  19. No issues on the lower strings at all! I can't find the mk2, do you mean the bright orange v1.5? Haven't tried it but either way its a great "transparent" overdrive, surprised I don't see them on more boards.
  20. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😱 But probably the Xotic Bass BB Preamp.
  21. Two Octabvres up in the for sale section. If I was made of money I would buy both!
