1. Last price drop before ebay
2. Link me!
3. The screw is unscrewed as far as it will go (none left protruding) so a shorter screw won't help unfortunately. Might have to be a new string, which is a bugger because I use flats and I can't recall anywhere selling individual strings.
4. I'm dropping from standard E to low C, like Will Lee does. My plan had been to get the double stop lever and it set for low D and low C but that doesn't seem possible now
5. I've just installed an Xtender onto my Clover (GB7 style tuners)very pleased with it... except that it won't drop to a low C! It goes 90% of the way there and can't get any lower, even more frustrating it stops just a fraction sharp of a low C. Does anyone know if there is a way to extend those extra 10cents to low C?
6. All sorted, got the letter saying how much I owed them and where it was. Only an extra £15
7. Ah bugger. Is the USPS tracking number still valid with Royal Mail or will they have assigned their own?
8. Hello all, I ordered a hipshot Xtender from America at the start of May and they gave me delivery date of 30th June (Monday). What's confusing me is that on eBay's tracking page it says 'delivered' even thought it's not. Has anyone else encountered this when ordering from overseas?
9. Looking for sale only, sorry
10. I play a lot of big hotel function rooms without PA support - our PA is guff - so I need to fill a lot of space! I do fine but it'd be good to have the headroom. The reason I'm thinking of a double midget (gen 2) stack is for the footprint on stage.
11.
Are there any Midget owners near you Lewis? Happy to meet up in the interests of bassology if you are near me, or maybe you could attend a Bass Bash?
I'm based in Edinburgh, and not aware of any midget users nearby. Tbh I never have trouble hearing myself at gigs but I am almost always running the amp near full.
12. Just played one thus afternoon, very very nice bass. Lightweight, nice thin neck, great sounds, and it's even got lines on the side of the neck I case you're new to fretless. The only drawback I found was that the fingerboard goes up to the neck pup so slapping is awkward. Otherwise a fantastic instrument.
13. This will be officially "for sale" after the weekend as I have a gig requiring 5 strings. Cash sale preferred, asking for £800 plus postage if required. There will be a crappy gig bag thrown in for a bit of extra protection.
14. I was thinking if grabbing a second second hand one for a monster stack, anyone else tried this? PS I know there is one for sale, I just can't afford it right now
15. the plastic is now off the the tuners, I took that picture when I bought it.
16.
No instruments will be left in the car will they? That would be crazy. Other gear can possibly be covered up/squeezed into the boot. Take a gig bag and prepare for a sore shoulder.
Taking our guitars into rehearsal. There'll be 2 1x15 speakers, 2 amps and a bag of cables left in the car
17. I have a nasty looking blanket I'll take with me, at least then it'll be covered by insurance. The singer has just informed me there is a multi-storey car park up the road from the rehearsal room, safest bet I think.
18. Hello!! On Saturday it has transpired that my wedding band is going to rehearse our dep drummer in Glasgow then go on to our gig (also in Glasgow) my concern is leaving all mine and the guitarist's gear plus our PA speakers parked on the street for 3 hours. Anyone got any tips on deterring opportunistic thieves? Cheers
19. that's what I'm going for. Unfortunately it'll have to wait
