For sure! Its definitely a look I've suddenly got into for no good reason 😅 -
I've never played a Mustang with neck dive. I'd say try a different one.

Anyone out there made a Big Pedals Only board? I just ordered a Beetronics Royal Jelly and suddenly started searching for big versions of everything 😅 got a EHX V.1 POG and Octave Multiplexer in my Reverb watchlist! -

Yup, dude is very thorough. Can vouch for both the Bronco and the Squier as punching above their weight, and the JMJ as the best Mustang bass every released. EVER. -

Pretty cool take on a Mustang/Musicmaster: https://www.kitharaguitars.com/samson Though £2k for essentially a Musicmaster 😅 -

Mr Callowhill (Tim Cloonan) died in 2016 so only available secondhand, and not very often at that. Sereks are amazing, but pricey. Ibanez make a couple of reasonably priced short scale 5s: the Talman and the EHB1005. -

And also my collection of short scales. Left to right: Sandberg Florence; Callowhill MPB; Fender JMJ Mustang; Serek MW2 5-string; Nordstrand Acinonyx. -

Pictures are a bit blurry (it's late and my phone is a bit s**t). It's showing up more red but its darker and browner in the flesh. -

Took delivery of the Sandberg Florence from Bass Direct on Tuesday. It's a very nice bass, skinnier neck than I'm used to (I usually use a Serek MW2 5 string and it has a chunky neck), but the mud bucker has a super cool tone. Almost P-ish but less mid-range and highs. The only slight con is the balance is a bit towards the body, but not hugely and it'll be fine on strap. -

I bought this way back in 2016, mainly for doing theatre shows. Since 2018 I've only used it once in anger, so I wanted to gauge interest. It's in great condition with no peeling of the tolex or significant scratches. It would be easier for the buyer to collect, but as I've just moved house I have lots of boxes and packing materials lying around so can courier at buyers expense. Shipping to Mainland UK is £33 with DPD, happy for buyer to arrange their own courier. The new cover is only 6 months old, and worth about £50 on its own. Its much better quality than the one that came with it (sorry Alex!)

I got the DCX a couple of days ago. I was expecting something low gain, like the Xotic BB Preamp, Walrus Audio 385, JPTR FX Jive etc., but its very much not that, nor is it a heavy distortion (to my ears at least). The EQ setting is great, I got a lot of nice tones just playing with the HF and LF knobs. In the overdrive setting it seems to affect the high end the most, and although its got plenty low end, I struggled to get the volume right on my gig last night; it either felt too quiet or too loud. I think it's fair to add that I've been using the Origin Effects Halcyon as my main drive for about a year, a very different, very chanky tubescreamer-style overdrive, so I'm used to that sound. And last night's amp was also very muddy, so perhaps not the best platform for pedals. I think the pedal does what it says: it's a studio preamp being driven too hard, which is a 'fizzy' (i.e. not an overdriven amp) sound in my experience. I was initially a bit underwhelmed, but I'm going to persevere and do some more tinkering. When I first got the Jive, I thought it was too weird and wasn't sure what to do with it, but now its one of my favourite drives.

The Jive is great. I didn't know what to do with it when I first got it but its one of my favourite drives now. -

Solid essentialist pedalboard! I oscillate between wanting a Cover All Eventualities Board and something more like this that does all a bass player needs to do. -
You could also buy a scalped one for that amount on Reverb.

I think he will succeed in his intention to slow down the sale 😅 some folks will buy it though. I'm gonna wait for his 'International Only' sale.

So orange prompting the "buy" part of the brain does work then 😂

He'll have canteen duties at the same time the CCTV all "breaks"

The world is falling apart

Are you selling musical instruments and accessories?

Has anyone noticed that a lot of music gear related sites have orange logos? Reverb: orange. Guitarguitar: orange: Wunjo's: orange. Basschat: orange. I think it's like how lots of food places are red or green, which your lizard brain is supposed to associate with food. What do people reckon? Or maybe its just coincidence.
