1.
Our BL would never call the same song twice. Blue
Your gigs must be quite a feat. Surely you will run out of different songs eventually??
 2. Sold this splendid chap a box of funk, he seems happy with it. Cheers bud!
 3. I'm guilty of forgetting to leave feedback. Im happy to be asked to as a reminder, and I regularly ask for feedback myself Now, I sold two pedals last week....
 4.
1000W and only one speakon? D'oh!
Assume your not serious Funny how it is becoming more common to daisy chain cabs, makes total sense when you think about it, less wire dangling cables around!
 5. They're certainly aware, obviously a mistake not corrected from the prototype but I'm not sure if they'll just keep it that way now, its quite funny! But if they do correct it, hey at least itl be first edition collectors item!
 6.
I'm not convinced. Unless the use of the Preamp Out re-activates the Master Volume, I've asked the question on Facebook - I'll post the reply when I get it. I've ordered one anyway. I discovered I had some Andertons points to knock another £13 off!
Just had a read through the Talkbass thread, and Doug confirms in a post that the sockets can be used as an effects loop, so I think its all good! I got £1.39 off mine....
 7.
I bet it's a great amp but it needs more general use demos without gain.
Without gain? What nonsense is this?!
 8. I think it operates as a normal effects loop, I think the manual states the master knob doesn't function against the wrong one. At least that's my assumption. I need it to be an effects loop...
 9.
Andertons still quite a bit cheaper than everyone else then, so far.
I think the Andertons price is based on pre sterling crash, their product code is still Microtubes700.
 10. They are shipping to Europe now, hopefully not too long before Andertons stock comes in. I'll let you know!
 11.
trying not be an arse but how can you say its not necessary? It all depends on what you play and how you create your bass lines. I can think of loads of uses for switching drives with the style and songs i write with my band and loads of uses for it for tracks i have already written that i could back track on. Its all about flexibility for me. My B7K is my permanently on sound and it cranked as well, it would be ace to be able to change the drive from my standard raging one to a more valve overdrive for different sections / solos / dynamics etc. i get why they did not put it on, to save on different cables / cost n stuff, its just a shame to not have the flexibility as it would be a proper swiss army knife then.
Check my original post, I said for ME it won't be an issue. I understand some will want to change voices mid song. I have never done this, I will switch on another drive pedal or something to change sounds mid song, I wouldn't try and adjust the pedal already on. This is the same for me. Chances are, the settings used on the B3K voicing won't be the same settings you use on the Vintage voicing (this is absolutely true for me) and as such simply switching voices won't be enough, I would need to change the blend, gain, level and tone as well. I just personally would never be in a situation where changing the voice on the amp would not be practical.
 12. Leamington Spa, and I'm happy to travel
 13.
Agreed. I want to be able to switch the distortion in and out not the amp voicing. I would select the amp voicing for a particular song but having the ability to switch the distortion on and off for the win
Yes, that's what it does? Guy you quoted was talking about it switching voices mid song, which I agree would not really be necessary.
 14. Try before you buy, whatever you do!
 15.
i think they missed a trick on being able to switch from vintage microtubes to B3K engines via the foot switch, that would have been ace. I would have been sold at that.
Doug answered that, he wanted to keep the foot switch as just needing a standard cable. If he did make that switchable, he would have had to use something else and he wanted to avoid that. It would have been cool, but I can't think of a situation where I would want to switch voices where clicking the switch on the amp wouldn't be possible. I can't see why you would switch voices mid song, but it's less of a problem for me anyway as I have a Darkglass unit on the floor.
 16. Excellent to hear that the Ashdown more than competes with the expensive Barefaced counterpart, particularly given how Barefaced advertise they should compete to other 1x12 cabs. Look forward to hearing further comparisons from you in the real world gigging environment!
 17. GAS overhwhelmed me, that together with the fact that if I sold one of my Darkglass Ultra pedals and my current amp I would have more than enough to buy one of these, which effectively has both of the Ultra pedals built in. I wouldn't have considered it had it been the price I expected it to be, however at £769 it is an absolute steal compared to its competitors in my opinion. The only disadvantage (compared to my current Class D amp) I can see it has is a lack of Aux in and headphone jacks. Outside the bedroom, not so much of an issue, but I do occasionally use my current amp for late night practice in this way. The microtubes engine makes up for it Hopefully in a week or so it will be in my hands, expect a full review!
