It doesn't matter. You legally have to declare a value on the goods you are posting, and that value will attract duty when it arrives in customs. I don't understand why the system works in this way. Well, I do; Revenue generating.
2.
It Looks like Tim C isn't using the Barefaced cabs at this gig , any idea what these no name cabs are ?? https://www.youtube....h?v=TzyPw2lpWqo
Love affair didn't last long then? Yeah, it could be a supplied backline, but I would have thought someone of Tim's calibre would not accept any old backline?
3. Superb amps, these. I bet the extra 300w in power in this one really kicks!
4. Ship them and you have to declare their full value. Do that and you will be liable for duty. I have never understood why duty is payable on second hand products, given the tax has at some point already been paid, but there you go.
5.
Just curious. If my band decided that we would only perform the B sides to popular record releases (pre-digital of course) and never played outside of that set... would we still be a covers band?
Yes.
6.
PM'd
And replied I almost regret saying this, but back on topic please
7.
Why? Maybe we should restrict all Blue's posts to one thread? Or perhaps he should have his own sub forum. I don't get you guys. Just I gnore the threads you're not interested in.
Why? To prevent unnecessary clutter in the Forum. The same member wishes to post two threads that could very easily and sensibly be condensed into one. Please pm me directly if you have any other comments regarding moderator guidance
8. Can I request that there please not be a follow up thread, and relevant conversation be contained to this thread?
9. I don't understand how this thread has reached 5 pages, nor do I have any desire to read and find out! A cover band is one that interprets another's music and does not claim it as their own. The end.
10. My word you go through some fantastic gear! How long has this been in the stable?! Why is this one being moved on??
11. Cheers guys Discreet, if you need any help let me know
12. Bump for an excellent amp in great condition and a chunky old saving off the new cost, what's not to love?
13. I don't know why I haven't bought this yet.
14. Sounds excellent, Gary! Great to see you on here too
15. At that price it has to be worth a go. Those pickups are quite remarkable, very aggressive and open sounding, but the eq and switch make them very versatile.
16. Totally personal preference. Bear in mind the fret positions all over the neck vary slightly (if same scale length) depending on the number of frets. I don't play anything with less than 24, for the only reason that it is most comfortable for me. I find it odd playing on the 12th fret so far down the neck on 20 fret types etc.
17.
I love them, il be honest i got my first one with a Wenge neck purely because i thought it looked cool. But having had a few now, some with Wenge and some Maple i'm definitely a big fan of the feel and tone.
Absolutely, I have had Maple, Walnut and Wenge necked Dingwalls and the Wenge necks are superior in feel and tone for me. The walnut wasn't too far off, the maple sounds too clinical.
18. I guess technically they will allow spacing as close as the saddles touch each other, which at a guess would be around 16.5mm. I'd check for you but I am Warwickless again, but this time with no plans to return
19. Bump Now includes shipping and I'll throw a kettle lead in too
20. Thinking about it, on the rare occasion I have owned a bass with a pick guard covering controls, I tended to hold the guard down with my thumb as i pulled the cable out with my fingers. Never actually thought this would happen though. It certainly can't be normal!
21. There's a GAS kill if I ever saw one! Sorry dude! What kind of wood strips like that, must be super soft?
22.
Man, you might regret it! Andertons have announced USA products are rising in price.
This is Mexican made, isn't it?
23. Excellent basses, I'm sure this is superb. Great E-G but this will kill in B-D too. and of course any number of drop tuning better than any 34"/ 35" bass. Blackburst finish looks a lot nicer in the flesh too Norwood is a great guy to deal with too, purchased a Dingwall off him before!
24.
Not sure how accurate this is, but it seems to be the story of the original bass. $35k!!! https://m.reddit.com/r/Bass/comments/4sfvij/how_flea_got_the_worlds_coolest_bass_his_1961/d59oa2x
Anthony kiedis intimidated a guy into giving Flea a bass, because Flea didn't have the money? Hmmm! I think he may well have jumped at the chance of owning one of Fleas actual basses and then felt a bit silly afterwards. If any of it is true at all!
25. Kev

Preamp / DI?

Darkglass B7K Ultra, if you can stretch to it. Exceptional bass preamp and DI with switchable dirt.
