1. I can't stand the nut area. It is a terrible design IMO, not slanting the fretboard with the nut, it just looks unfinished to me. Its also a much smaller fan, with the B only being 35.5 inch compared to the 37 inch of a Dingwall, would it really have the same effect? Get a Dingwall if you want fanned frets, they may not have done it first but they have certainly done it best. The combustion models are ridiculously affordable, more expensive than the Ibanez but the extra would be worth it for me.
2. A grand trade value? With the original and Status neck? Seriously?? Has to be worth more than that. At least stick to your trading guns though, don't sell it that cheap for cash whatever you do!
3. Stunning indeed! I can only hope mine turns out that well
4. Do ACG still sell their filter preamps modules seperately?
5.
£7k!!! That would buy......
A tuner on a Fodera? I still can't get over how cool these all wenge Warwick necks look and feel. Loved mine on the 2013 SSI. Could only be bettered if it was one solid block of wenge!
6.
Will you be scrapping the Buckeye burl then and going full Claro walnut?
No no no, still the walnut body with buckeye top
7.
Not normally fussed by walnut but it is a very pretty (and surprisingly large) cut of it!
And that is what it looks like dry. Just wait until it is oiled! The figuring is going to be insane
8. So, my big block of claro walnut has arrived from California, and looks like it is big enough for a 1 piece body and a 1 piece neck!
9.
You're avoiding the issue
You're missing the point.
10. Providing ticket prices aren't silly, I'll be in Birmingham
11.
Another Dingwall in the house
Nice upgrade, that is wonderful
12. it can't be a serious offer, no way. Surely? Must be up for sale again soon due to a non-paying bidder...
13. It would help your sale (and save peoples time ) if you gave details of what kind of bass you would like to trade for. Best of luck with your sale, it is a lovely looking instrument.
14. woo I came extremely close to buying this, I'm glad it has found a home! Really interested to hear what it sounds like
15.
That is going to be one very pretty looking bass! Picked a great cut of buckeye for the top too, just the right amount of 'in your faceness' about it.
That is exactly why I chose it. Some Buckeye is just too much, but I love the waves and colours of this piece, and no bookmatching!
16.
Be a nice Chrimbo present for you.
I am hoping it will be more of a Halloween present
17. Nine months or so I reckon, so should be a 2015 delivery
18. They have some superb suppliers, thats for sure One piece Buckeye Burl is not something you see too often, and I fell in love with that Walnut as soon as I was shown it.
