1. Did this sell bud?
2. To be honest, I don't know how anyone could justify even remotely considering the German P-Nut over this one. Must be £5500 or so for the german version...
3. Blimey, could they have changed the design more?
4. In hindsight, I wish I would have gone for this when I had the chance!
5. Stunning!
6. Who did the conversion to PJ?
7. My Hercules grabbers had no issues with any of my Dingwall basses that I recall
8. Enjoyed that, cheers! The Ripper sounded great. Interested to hear the differences between the Precision basses, the 79 with flats sounded lovely.
9. If he is a scammer, he isn't very good at it. As said above, if he had complained to eBay/Paypal etc, he would more than likely have had his £100 refunded to him. Maybe this is a rare (and odd) case of honesty? Or, yeah, he may just be rubbish at scamming.
10. This Moog is tempting me something awful, what possible use could I have for it?! But still....
11. Its worth noting that, whilst the new Warwicks are wenge necked and have a slimmer profile than the bats on the 00's, they are not as slim as the vintage pre ~1991 basses. There is a custom shop option for an extra slim neck for such a profile
12. I bet this is a cracking instrument!
13. Nice!
14. Making the most out of the sunshine before it disappears for the winter...
15. Its an excellent preamp. I use a B7K and a VMT Deluxe. The B7K is the more aggressive sibling, with a metallic heavy drive sound, whereas the VMT sounds like a cranked valve amp, warm vintage tones by nature but can easily be made aggressive with the EQ. Both superb pedals, which one will suit you depends on what tone you are looking for?
16.
Just when I was thinking this bass would stop making me want a bank loan. Hope this sells quick (for my sanity)
Do me and your bank a favour and go for it I have priced it to-sell but the market the way it is I wouldn't bet too heavily on it selling quickly...
17. It is indeed. 9.7lb on my scales
18. ACG Recurve SC Classic 5 string. It is a complete stunner, incredibly build quality and ridiculously versatile preamp. This bass is somewhat of a crossover between the Custom and Über specifications Alan currently offers, with the 9 piece neck and front/back figured wood top only available on the Über specification models today. Specifications: Spalt Beech top and back with 1mm black sycamore veneer accent. Swamp Ash core. Satin finish. 9 piece Wenge/Ash neck with Asymmetric carve Acrylic Impregnated American Holly finger board. Luminlay side dots Zero radius 34″ scale ACG EQ03 5K pre-amp ACG FB Humbuckers Hipshot Bridge and Gotoh Resolite Tuners Schaller Strap Buttons AC Guitars page here: http://www.acguitars...assic-5-string/ She is freshly strung with a new set of SIT nickel strings and setup with a low action. You can set this up even lower, straight neck and very responsive truss rod. I am looking for £SOLD
19.
4 distortions. LOL.
20. So, I recently picked up a rather stunning ACG in a trade deal on here and I am struggling somewhat to get my head around the preamps, I'm embarrassed to admit. The preamp model is EQ03 5K model, so the one with the two low pass filters with boost/cut, the high pass filter type control with boost cut and the tone knob. I already have a Wal so am familiar with filter preamps and how it all works, however I am struggling to dial in the tones I am looking for with this bass. Any pointers to start me off? Example settings to get various bass styles would be fantastic starting point for me to work from. I believe each of the 9 (yes, 9) knobs on the bass as 41 or so indents, which is a helluva lot of settings available!
21. These ones: http://www.stringsdi...r-strings-p1008 Brand new, unopened/unused etc. Top quality strings fitted to all German built high end Warwicks as standard, but of course suitable for any 5 string bass. £Sold including postage. Cheers
22. Early days, but it seems to be a cracking bass. Neck is wonderful and I love the flat board. The filter pre is fun, easier to dial in more traditional bass sounds than the Wal and love the addition of the tone knob, but overall they are very different basses. I like both
