1. Jesus these basses are haunting me!
2. Lovely bass! Glad it is a lined fretless, would be a complete nightmare otherwise...
3. I have reported him for inflated delivery charges, for what good it will do. No-one in their right mind would bid on that, the starting bid is too much for the bass anyway.
4.
Cant see any o the extra pics
they are on the imageshack link mate Love this, those pics that Col took almost made me take it off him when he still had it, but he had already sold it to you! A little too rich for me now, but looks like a complete corker. GLWTS!
5. I keep coming back to look at this, but i too am set on getting a Wal! Gorgeous instrument though mate!
6. Thomas just bought a rather nice drive pedal off me, smooth an easy transaction, one of good guys! Cheers
7. Thanks for the pm response!
8. Bugger. Do let me know if it falls through
9. Really try and look at what you want from the amp before you consider cost. Just because you have £1k doesn't mean you should automatically disregard anything costing half that
10.
Absolute bargain! Good luck with the sale! Is that a maple top?
It won't be maple. Ovangkol I believe, although some early BO thumbs were Walnut.
11. I need an OC-2, I want my name in this list

What does this sound like with bass? Cannot see anything on the net, interesting!
13.
PM'd I think I'll be having this one as it'll go nicely alongside my fretless Thumb BO Broadneck !! Also as far as I know these weren't custom orders, just weren't asked for that much so not many made. If you put in the serial numbers of this LX and my Thumb (F10742604) into the Warwick serial number checker (http://www.warwickba...current_site_id) there is no mention of either of them being a custom version. Also the article numbers, when put into google do come up with references to both the basses being broadnecked versions. Anyhow nice bass either way
In hindsight, you are probably right in that they were not custom orders as such, just less common that the standard neck width (Broadneck is the standard with SSI's)
14. Makes more sense nothing more to add really! However the neck/pickups still confuse me, looks like a custom order as I don't ever recall a broadneck (20mm) as a standard option for an LX. Nice bass!
15. This is interesting....a broadneck Streamer LX with a JAN I from 2010? What is the serial?
16. Amazing You have Scott Devine's attention: https://www.facebook.com/ScottsBassLessons/photos/a.355647687855868.94583.233472543406717/694481913972442/?type=1&theater
17.
Sweet board! Does that Philosopher bring lively crunch? I considered purchasing one a while ago but hesitated. Here's my latest attempt at an fxboard (I have a dualband comp in my amplifier):
Nice board, Marco! I have my Darkglass trio now (Vintage Deluxe Limited Edition has finally arrived) and will post up my board shortly.
18.
Not had one made but acquired this in a trade...
19. Nice bit of 'wick history there, not too many BO (non LX) Streamers about
20.
It's turning into a sort of discussion about HPW's skills and know-how... certainly out of topic and not very interesting for me The bass is still available, though. Several offers but it's still here.
I agree and apologise for derailing, I should know better If I don't end up being the buyer, GLWTS!
21. Okay, he certainly built early Warwicks bud, why do you think otherwise, out of interest? Perhaps a conversation for a different thread, but I am curious Hope John doesn't mind, but here is an extract of email sent to him from Hans about Thumb 6 #27... [i]...indeed your Bass is one of the first Thumb NT 6 strings I made by my self.... 22.
As I said, no chance Hans Wilfer had something to do with the build of this bass. He's a businessman, not a luthier by any means. But yeah, I think this is a nice collectors item (and of course a very nice sounding and playing instrument).
Not true, that one. It is quite possible he was involved in making this. He built the other 88 thumb 6 that was sold on here a while ago, had an email from the man himself saying so
