1.
I tried one of these yesterday, and was really disappointed actually. Although I like the new harmony options, the chord mode just sounds a bit fake/digital to me and the classic mode does not react in the same way as my Whammy 1 at all! I usually use the octave or fifth up harmonies with a bit of delay for a really nice haunting, warbley sound, but this sounded really bad on the bass whammy! Keeping the Whammy 1 now and I'm not going to pick one of these up. Bit of a shame as this had me very excited :-(...
This is disappointing
2. Just purchased these for my Dingwall, tried them on, preferred the steels so took them off again. They are cut for a Z1 (37inch with 2-3 winds so will fit any Dingwall. Standard scale 45-65-85-105-130 £26 posted, save yourself a few quid PAYSON STRINGS These strings were designed to sound good with your tone control as wide open as possible taking advantage of the pu's wide sonic range. The Stainless steel strings give maximum clarity on the high end and upper mids helping "cut" through the mix but also have excellent bass response. The Nickel string have greater lower mid and low end with smooth yet clear high end, the greater tension allows you to use a straighter neck and lower action. Compared to the La Bella's/R Coccos they have a little less tension with a more balanced feel from string to string.
3. I'm not sure what problems you are experiencing matey, but I have just bumped your sales thread, perfectly visible to me! If you do have any problems though please do get in touch
4. Is this not a thread for Gear Porn? Lovely looking instruments, although those left handed fanned fret instruments blow my mind!
5.
Regardless of the vintage of whatever Warwick basses you want to compare, the similarities between any Warwick basses and the classic Spector designs are superficial, at best. Just because some Warwicks look like Spectors, it doesn't necessarily follow that one brand will substitute for the other. Yes , the Streamer body shape that Warwick established themselves as a company on the back of is a direct rip- off from the NS design that belongs to Spector , but the different woods and manufacturing techniques used on Warwicks means they have always sounded very different to Spector basses. I personally think they both sound great in their own right ( despite never having owned either brand ) but you may prefer one over another according to your individual taste. To my ears, the classic Spector NS2 has an inherent low end heft coupled with an inherent crispness and edge to its' sound that is very appealing . Warwick basses sound a bit richer and more" woody ", but usually still with plenty of attack and extended high frequencies .
This about sums up the thread that is to come
6. I still look at that Sub and wonder how likely it would be that it was mine..
7.
Just checked and 7 day no quibble returns - looks like it'll go back! Thanks for the heads up Kev.
No worries one the the advantages of buying new!
8. I bet this is a great bass. I had a spalt maple version of this, branded Hudson as I recall, and it was the easiest 6 string to play. Lovely
9. Providing it can be sold as new again I can't see why they would refuse. Did you by in store or online? If online, you have distance selling laws behind you as well
10. Return the Bass Whammy to the store? Seems a waste to lose money selling it on here?
11. I'll get on this shortly Andy, love your work and have purchased your other 3 And vocals? Yours?
12.
I think that newer.warwicks arent a patch on the older models and i personally think they are not worth.the asking price, especially considering what else is on the market in the same price range.
The newer post-09 Warwicks with the slim necks, and the post 2013 with the Wenge necks, are superb instruments. The rrp is crazy, but they don't sell for that on the street. My '10 Dolphin is a much better instrument than the 5 or so 80's/90's vintage Warwicks I have owned, in my opinion of course Tried a few Spectors, found the tone to be very sterile and all in the pickups/electronics rather than the woods, I have never invested
13. Crazy price! I have a B7K and I would have been tempted to buy this as a second gain setting at that price!
14. Hang on, eBay bang on about making sure postage costs are fair and accurate and should not be more than the actual cost of postage, regardless of packaging. Why on earth should eBay take a cut of that! T&Cs say that sellers cannot profit from postage amounts, but now you will make a loss? All this does is penalise the buyer, as all sellers will do is raise postage to account for this.
15. Still my favourite too, despite the arrival of the crazy slanty bass . I love it!
16. Looking good buddy! Still drool when I see that boire, amazing wood. How is the Pro-M? A couple of the Dolphin with my new phone:
17.
My god I'm behind the times. Either a mint vintage 70's Precision or an iPhone 5c with Flappy Birds? I know what I must do now....
I know where my money would go....
18. Warren just purchased my Cog custom, sad to see her go but a perfect transaction and instant payment, can't ask for more!
19. I don't, something worth considering? mine has the Gotohs with the funky finish, can you buy the matching drop d anywhere for those?

21. Just bought a stunning Dingwall off Greg, honoured a deal with me when he had much easier local buyers to go for, packaged great and as described, awesome stuff!
22. It arrived.
