1. Great introduction to Warwick, that twin-j is a superb pickup too!
2. Probably the first Fodera I have looked at and wanted, gorgeous instrument!
3. Buy it you buggers! The Six Pak sale seems ages ago now mate and I thought this would go first, how is it still here! Here is a sold second hand one that went for a good chunk more! 5. Price drop bump
6. ^^ this would be perfect for a Warwick non-coloured oil finish, but not for the satin finish of the coloured oil. If I put any wax on it it will come up to a glossy shine and that is the opposite of what I want I plucked up the courage to use a little fine wire wool very sparingly, seems to have done the trick Cheers guys.
7. He seems like a very angry person. There is something about the whole listing I don't like...can't decide what though, other than its general angry tone. I also don't like that it has sold (relatively cheaply) twice and yet it is still up for sale, despite his reasons...
8. Fair play, John and that is a cracking score Denzel
9.
James Earl sig model?
I didn't think they had fret markers...
10.
This arrived in the post this morning...
Oof, thats a bit different, what is that?
11. By due course, do you mean this evening? Here is Andy Irvine giving my SS1 a whirl http://youtu.be/U12vvP1rkys
12. I wish I wasn't shallow enough to not get over the ding Enjoy bud
13. Hello, fellow Warwicker
14. My Warwick has a lovely coloured oil/satin finish, however on the back there are a couple of shiny marks. It is not play wear so I imagine it has at some point come into contact with something oily. Wiping with a cloth/water and a tiny bit of lemon oil has not had any effect. I am quite anxious about not trying to polish it too much as I don't want to buff it into a gloss type shine. Any tips for removing these marks? I can't photograph them, they are only visible with light shining on them, but I am sure you will know what kind of marks I mean.
15. Nice
16. Enjoy it mate, I love my ABII, and they are remarkably light. Usually I hate lightweight basses as for tone is too often sacrificed, however Dingers are the exception
17. She's a beauty! The finish on the neck feels so good in the hand and she is punchy as hell. Cheers to Nick at Warwick for setting this up for me
18.
It's not a "why do you like them?" question. For me it was more a "what makes this bass more special than any other Fender Jazz?" question. I could understand it if the OP had actually had a go on the bass in question and it was an awesome sounding and playing instrument, but it's just some photos in an eBay listing. So what is it?
Exactly my point.
19. How come?

21. She turned up today She is a hefty beast but sounds stunning
22.
Horses for courses mate......I started playing bass in 1974 at the age of 11, all I ever wanted in them days was a real Fender jazz..it took me the best part of 10 years before I could afford one, Ive loved them ever since. The older jazzers evoke a feeling for me that I cant really explain other than to say, that every time I pick one up, or see an old vintage jazz ,that feeling of the first time I owned one comes flooding back. For me its not about money or making money on old vintage guitars, it's the way they make me feel.....but hey...each to his own
Great reason and one I couldn't understand having never had that desire for one. Its when I see someone more my age group (25-30) describing these as their dream instruments that confuses me somewhat, but as you say, each to their own,
23.
Can someone please explain what is some wonderful about this bass. It looks just like a Fender jazz to me.
I'm at a complete loss too... In many people's opinion older Fenders may sound or even play better (differently) than new ones, but how can you get that from that listing? When I have more money than sense, I am going to buy a load of old Fenders, a load of new Fenders and a load of cheap eastern copies and see what I can pass off as what in a blind test
24. No Warwick will match this for tonal versatility, even one of those Twin J's is brilliant, two must be crazy.
