True, it will not spread the weight as evenly, but I think it is potentially much more convenient than having the thing stuck on your back, I'v hovered over investing a few times and it is only the shipping cost that has turned me off.

Agreed with all of the above, I should have mentioned the main intention is to use this with a You're Doom pedal, rather than a muff type fuzz or similar, so I would be running into the filter. The WMD does certainly look interesting, but concerned it may have the same effect on me that the Wonderlove did, just too much going on. Same with the Prometheus.

It does sound good, but using my Cog Knightfall circuit after the B7K can get tones like the vintage if I needed them. Couldn't justify owning both so the B7K is an easy choice for me. Great playing as always, sir. Your You're Doom demo has got me wanting to order a few pedals from 3Leaf

I'm in the market for a new envelope filter pedal. Now, historically, I am extremely fussy when it comes to filters, so fussy that none of my past conquests have completely satisfied me for one reason or another. What is deemed to be a really good, wet, quaky filter at the moment that works well with fuzz pedals for synth tones? Two of the major contenders of the moment, Xerograph Dlx and Wonderlove, did not tick enough boxes for me to justify the investment. Xerograph sounded too sterile for me, despite it working great with other pedals, and the Wonderlove was just too difficult to dial in a good tone that worked on it's own and with others. Possible interests are: 3Lead Proton Subdecay Prometheus DLX MXR Bass Envelope Filter WMD Super Fatman Xotic Robotalk 2 Any thoughts/recommendations? I will primarily be using an active Warwick and its quite important for me to have the option to have some clean bass coming through. Working well with fuzz pedals for synth tones is also a must.

I am LOVING my new little box for quiet practice, will be more than adequate for band practice (albeit with no or a very quiet drummer) as it kicks out a surprising amount of volume! That looks lovely, however I wish they would have stuck with rosewood/bubinga fretboard, maple doesn't really suit it as well it I don't think!

Well it turned up today, and my first impression was this [attachment=157531:IMG_18801.JPG] :| Fortunatley, despite Parcelforce/DHL Germany's best efforts (and some questionable judgement of a suitable box size by Thomann), the amp and it's internal box are untouched. ...and I'm really, really impressed! The little thing has such a superb full sound! The VPF is the only knob I use on MB amps so don't really miss the EQ or VLE at all. Really lovely sound and has a good bit of volume too! Sounds great with my Warwick and Rickenbacker with little EQ adjustment needed. Headphone amp is, quite possibly, the best I have used on an amp/combo, really good clear high quality tone. Not tested the DI yet, but don't anticipate issues. No tweeter, so no horrible hiss! Happy with my decision to go for it and got it for a great price, compared to the few UK stockists. Happy to return to the MB tone

With the noisy 121p returned and still uncertainty on whether or not it was faulty, I have opted to stay away from MB tweeters and have ordered a Micromark, realistically all I need for home and studio

Congrats Certainly sounds like mine had a problem then, as the hiss coming from mine was far too loud to not notice it had a tweeter!
