1. I had the Vintage, very dissapointed, difficult to say why but just didn't have the wow factor that the B3K gave me. Having owned all but the Vintage Deluxe, I have stuck with the B7K [new model]. EQ vital in dialling in the right tone, its a superb pedal. Valve-type sounds can easily be achieved dialling off the treble and warming it up.
2. That is superb, David. I would if I could!
3. It has two preamps, one for each coil in the pickup
4. I hate to make comments like this, but had you listed this a fortnight ago I would have probably taken it. Gorgeous bass! Best of luck with the sale but you shouldn't need it!
5. Had some lovely offers so far but nothing quite what I am looking for. Still available for the moment!
6.
Thanks charic, would it be too ironic to suggest that this thread is now closed so that any relevant discussion is contained in the one (i.e., other) thread?
This would make total ironic sense
7. Ha, now I have seen the new pictures I prefer the look of the II!
8. I wonder how some of you do not have better things to do than this! Notice that the participation of Rob or any of the other members affected by this situation is minimal? The situation is not ideal to say the least and it looks like through his personal problems he has made a bit of a hash of the business, but from everything that has been said things are on the up. How about a discussion such as this be considered in another 6 months time? If they are in the 'next step' as they say, then by this time everyone could have their completed bass. If they don't, then another discussion (prompted by an orderer or genuine prospective orderer) may be warranted. Until then, perhaps worry about other things?
9. I promise it has touched no gravel! Clever prop placement kept her safe from the stones It's a super bass, real step above the more common Warwick instruments. The MEC's have more growl and aggression than Barts, perfect for the Warwick sound really A cash sale is, of course, preferred, but will listen to all trade offers, worst I can do is say no! 4 strings with a narrower nut will be considered too but only with cash my way.
10. Bump FYI, bass is currently strung with LaBella Super Steps exposed core strings.
11. Back for sale, guys. It just won't get played and I can't afford to have such an instrument as a piece of furniture! Although the woods are certainly finer than my coffee table

13. Two weeks without any Warwick pics? Not on my watch! Show us yer 'wicks!

It's really difficult to put a finger on a specific difference really. The Z1 had a solid ash body with maple neck and board, whereas this has a chambered walnut body, walnut neck and wenge board so very different woods, about as different as you can get within the Dingwall range. Different pickup models too, and a 2 band rather than 3 band eq. The neck profiles are slightly different too, as are the body shapes. As far as I have discovered so far, every difference from the Z1 is a good one for me, except perhaps the 3 band eq. The woods have a big impact on tone here, for sure, and being a Warwick fan I am already a huge fan of wenge fretboards. The inherent tone of the Z1 was too bright and snappy for me. Not so with this one I was tempted by an ABZ that was on here cheap a few weeks ago, but I'm a sucker for a fancy top wood

I didn't really enjoy the Z1 either, however this just sounds wonderful, have the Dingwall bug now for sure
You forgot to mention that it was set up by me. I set up all my basses in the same way, taking everything into consideration, action, neck relief, pickup height and saddle's intonation. I don't leave it until I am satisfied that everything is set up to the best, as I have explained to you in my email, since these neodymium pickups are so responsive even the slightest change in string height will affect how the pickup sound so you need to always adjust their heights every time you raise or lower the bridge saddles. I am glad you are enjoying the bass.
I did, apologies! It is set up wonderful, perfect relief in the neck, just tweeked the action up a tiny bit to account for my heavy playing and raised the p'ups to accommodate, sounds wonderful Looks good with the roasted maple too!
17. A friendly pointer: the value you enter when creating a thread in this forum should represent the total value of all the items listed for sale, and not just the first or the most expensive one. For example, if you have a selection of four pedals for sale at £30 each, the value you should enter is £120. Adverts are not to be edited to add extra items for sale; you must create a separate thread for such items. Adverts that do not comply with these rules will likely be removed without warning.
18. Very nice, nut upgraded at some point?

Cheers guys. I cannot say I have ever played a bass, owned or otherwise, that just feels so natural in my hands. Hate the cliché, but it really does play itself. Each of it's pickup settings offer something completely different and all are usable in their own way. Wonderful acoustic tone to the neck pickup solo'd and sounds great in passive too. Did I mention it was light? 20. I am withdrawing this bass, in hindsight it isn't something I want to offer up unless I find a replacement first. Its a superb instrument and I may yet still have a place for it

Picked this up yesterday, Dingwall ABII, spalted maple burl top with walnut chambered body and walnut neck, superb instrument never played anything like it. Weighs under 8lb and its a real joy to play. I briefly owned a Z1 last month and I can't believe how much of an improvement this ABII is for me, despite it being a comparatively lower spec model. Stock photo from when she left Sheldon's wonderful hands for now but I'll get some fresh pics up soon. 22. Bob, how are you finding the You're Doom - Proton combination? Any sound clips? Having just picked up a Proton and rather like it, the You're Doom has still evaded me!
23. With the help of a friend, just purchased a stunning Dingwall off David. Bass as advertised and is a complete beauty! Do not hesitate to deal with this fellow! Cheers buddy!
24. Fran just facilitated a sale on behalf of Swanbrook (David), true example of an excellent basschatter and friend, and it just so happens I'm chuffed with the bass. Cheers buddy! Hope to meet again in slightly less hurried circumstances!
