Scratch that it has both it's just a nut II tabs in tact, very rare indeed! Lovely example, though.

Considering John has still not sold his custom shop Dolphin at £1800, I think that is an ambitious price. With import duty and shipping it would be very expensive for a UK buyer.

Will be picking up my own JG 4003 shortly, can't wait

Prices are still rock bottom. Since about 2009 Warwick have started building really high quality instruments again, with lovely slim necks. They have now returned to wenge and brass bridges, would love to give a 2013/2014 model a try. I was sold on vintage Warwicks and ownig a few mid-naughties basses convinced me older was better. But then I bought my 2010 Dolphin and was blown away But yeah, new prices, crazy. A new Dolphin rrp is around £4500, crazy money for a factory built bass, as superb as it is.

I doubt it is dodgy, I can just imagine someone has offered the asking price and either a) new person has offered more or he is asking for more due to interest. Who knows, but not one for me In his defence, his email to me implied he would take less than what he had been offered if it could be collected.

Unfortunately, it's turned into a silent auction . If I didn't get in first I assume I got in early, however after sending the pictures through he let me know that someone has offered him getting on for double the asking price and he asked me to make an offer, so I left it at that. Shame as it looked like it could be a bargain, alas!

Shaun just bought some strings from me, top fella and wouldn't hesitate to deal with again.

You guys make me chuckle. No matter how big RHCP are, they were humbled at the opportunity to play at the largest sports event in the world and didn't want to turn down the gig because they insist on playing live, Anthony got to sing live and they recorded the track especially for the gig. I don't get the issue; would you have wanted Flea and the rest to not play? I very much doubt such an event would be dictated to by a guest act (Bruno Mars was the hired artist)!! When all of you guys make it, I trust you will be turning down such once-in-a-career opportunities to play on such a stage

I would imagine it is more than likely that [i]all[/i] instruments involved in that show were pre-recorded and Flea was poking fun at this by unplugging his transmitter alltogether. The bassist with Bruno Mars had a wireless transmitted plugged in and he clearly wasn't creating the bass heard. Same with Josh. Flea on more than one occasion has preached about bands playing live before and I imagine he was pissed at having to fake it, as it were.
