Cash Price: £1400 Trade Value: £1500 Warwick Streamer Stage II, 5 string built in 2003. Gorgeous example, classic SSII tones as heard in many recordings. I have fitted a Brass Just a Nut III and had it set up professionally by noise-works with a full fret dress and level for a low action, is now a cracking bass. Lovely Afzelia bodywood and Ovangkol neck as standard. Lightweight for an SSII, believe it to be around 9lb 3oz but I will check. Really comfortable to play and balances perfectly. In great condition, a few dings here and there but nothing noticeable at all, bit of discolouring on some of the hardware but again nothing to worry about. Electronics faultless. Bass should come with its original handtags and tools, pending the previous owner sending them over to me Bit of an uncertain sale; the feel isn't quite right for me and I am really not a five player. After fitting the (bloody expensive) Just a nut to replace the plastic one (will include in sale), getting the professional setup and including a quality Ultimate gift bag ([url="http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Ulitimate_Bags_Stands.html"]http://www.bassdirec...ags_Stands.html[/url]), I think £1,400 is an extremely fair cash price for a quick sale. [/quote] The Piranha's are a bit louder than the Neo's from what I have read, although never tried the Neo's myself. It's the head that really makes this combo, stunning clean power and fantastic clarity. 700w with the right extensions, and can be popped right out of the combo if more convenient for big gigs. -
Iv been a click away a couple of times, but I think I would just be buying it because it's a Darkglass. The sound samples just don't tempt me. The You're Doom is a different matter, that looks right up my street. But I would like to give the vintage deluxe a go...

Depends on the type of pickup really. Generally, active pickups (EMG types) need to be as close to the strings as your technique will allow. Other pickups, back them away from the strings until you no longer feel the vibration is being impeded by the magnetic field.

Nothing sounds like a Stingray, even though it may look like the Corvette could be similar. They are very different instruments so it is difficult to recommend anything for you. Have you played a $$?

It is too metallic for some I'm sure, but the B7K and it EQ is a huge step up and it's hands down the best bass overdrive for me. The vintage I disliked as the tone I found very ordinary and too much like what is already out there, certainly not a pedal I want £200 invested in. perhaps the EQ on the deluxe will have the same result as the b7K!
