1. The guy's playing annoyed me, but it does sound quite interesting. I'll wait for MrExcane's demo

Laklands usually aren't my thing at all, but that looks special!
3. Bump for a class bass and a top bloke
4.
Thanks guys! This is all good feedback....And to Kev's comments, I too had that flaky experience with DR Black Beauties. I do hope your situation was an isolated experience. Because, if the set I have coming flakes, I'll likely give up the idea on Elixir no matter how great they sound. Cheers, Jeff
Funny, as I have never had the flaking problem with Black Beauties! I very rarely play with a pick too.
5. No-one tried these? I'm not sure I like the sound of the Rotosounds, have they a thicker coating than the BB's?
6. The knightfall sound makes me smile Replaced a Darkglass B7K, and don't regret it one bit
7. Not so positive from me I'm afraid. I have had two sets and both have had a flaky finish very quickly ( a few hours ), almost makes the string look frayed. The sound is... boring, for want of a better word. They are initially quite bright but very quickly lose the slight zing. In their defence, the tone after that initial drop does stay pretty much the same for months. I wouldn't buy another set as there are better strings out there. All IMO, of course
8. For £275, what more can you ask for! Looks like a great bass for the money.
9. Does anyone have any experience of these? I love the look of DR Black Beauties but the sound and feel isn't quite right for me. The black coated Black Diamond strings look like they could be a great alternative. Is there a UK dealer? Feedback for blyn

Just sold Brian a Fender Jazz, great chap to deal with. Managed to charge him too little for postage and he happily contributed more to cover the additional costs, what more can you ask for! Cheers buddy!
12. This is such a good deal. £900 for a bass of this calibre is fantastic, if it were mine I would be adding at least £200 to that price, and even then I would be giving it away. Those on the fence, check the rrp of a new SSI
13. Lo Rider nickel or steel? Iv always felt nickel is the best for Warwick, but I had the nickels on a Roscoe bass earlier this year, thought they were ok but not brilliant. Im not sure if I would fine the steels too bright/rough/fret noise? Don't really get on with slinkies, just seem to lose their tone quicker than any other strings.
14. Good. The DR black beauties look great but they does don't sound quite good enough. The G is fairly dead, which I believe is very common with these strings. Stunting my opinion a little on the tone at the moment as I haven't tried any other sets of rounds on it. Sounds fantastic with flats and quarterounds. Bass itself does sound great though, feels good too, although the wider spacing will take a little getting into. Finest pieces of Ovangkol I have seen in the flesh, it's a gorgeous design. I actually couldn't imagine preferring the neck in wenge, which is not something I thought I would say about a Warwick. Also pleasantly light at about 9lb 4oz I have a brass Just a nut III on the way to replace the plastic III that is currently installed. Beyond me how Warwick could ship £4k+ basses and not include the brass nut (this is a 2010 model so the brass III existed), but at least they have fixed that now. Nothing wrong with the plastic, but definitely fancy the brass with the gold hardware/frets Money isn't great at the moment and I spent more on the Dolphin than I wanted to, so I may find myself having to choose between this and the Streamer, but hopefully no rush on that front.

16. La Bella Flatwounds: Just taken these off a bass I have just purchased. Great flats, but I prefer the Quarteround set I have. Do not know which 'model' these ones are, they have green silk wrap if it helps! Seem to be a regular guage. £SOLD Ernie Ball Power Slinky Bass: Big heavy rounds, never got on with them and have seen little play time. £7 shipped and they are yours. Both are cut to a 2x2 headstock, Warwick style, with at least 3 winds on each peg. Cheers
17. Just bought a cracking Warwick from Col. Alot of negotiating but we got there in the end! Great guy to deal with and would always recommend Cheers buddy!
18. Polytope is a great unique pedal, well worth a try folks!
19. Take this spiky bass whilst you can! He is trying to buy them all
20. Which model are we talking? 3001*? 3003*? 3004*? * plus 1000
