1. Sadly Warwick are hopeless in dating their own older basses, as there reply would indicate The compartments mean it is a nineties or later bass, is the preamp 9v or 18v? I suspect 9v, and looking at the neck, i would say it was made sometime between 1992 and 1997.
2.
I would happily walk to Dusseldorf in flippers and carry that thing back the same way if I had £2200
If i gave you the £2200, would you make a video diary? Beast of a setup and i certainly did not want to suggest otherwise! Out of interest, what kind of total weight are we talking?
3. the Phat Phuk B is a great pedal with a great sound, however it does have a serious lack of flexibility compared to other pedals so i saw little use for it in the end really. The Cream Pie's that are for sale at the moment on the forum would be much better choices. One half of my new Cog custom build (18v Knightfall) should hopefully provide the grit i need!
4. The MEC pickups would almost certainly make it a 1990 or newer... Is the control plate on the back clipped on or screwed on? Screwed on would indicate it being pre 1991 or so I believe. Battery compartment?
5. Good luck with the sale, but you know this is a UK forum, right? Collection only may be a problem!!
6.
Bear in mind that fuzz doesn't work well with tweeters/horns. Not to say you can't use fuzz with horns but in my experience the best fuzz sounds I've gotten are from cabs without them.
I certainly agree that fuzzes can sound entirely different depending on what cab you put them through. I'v not tried a fuzz through my PJB Six Pak yet and i have a Cog Custom being built, so i am excited to see what the 5" speakers do!
7.
That looks very familiar to me...I've seen it advertised before but before 2007.
I think the strap button position would put it a fair bit earlier (is it a just a nut I as well?), but it's always difficult with painted Warwicks! Anyway, lovely bass, good luck with the sale
8.
If the electronics are standard (not saying that all early 90's would be especially on a NAMM/custom model), it should be 2 band EQ with a vol and pan pot. I've never encountered a Jazz style 2 pup system on a Warwick that would have TWO push pulls (the Dolphin among others has two but one is active/passive and the other is for a coil tap on the rear double/triple coil pup). Do both pots do something or is it a case of someone fitting a push/pull pot because they had nothing else available or they had taken the preamp/pots from another bass?
That's a better way of putting it
9. Sadly neither have the patience nor conviction for saving. Credit card or finance deals has been the way for me.
10. 2 push pulls? Pass, unless i'm having a dense moment that is a first for me on a Thumb, apart from a ltd i remember that had push pull dual/single coil on the bass/treble pot?
11. Are you sure about that preamp?? It looks to me like it will be the two band preamp with volume and blend, with push pull EQ on/off (never passive, will always need a battery).
12. Sold an Aguilar Cab to Matt, really patient guy, couldn't post for a week or so and he had no complaints. Seems happy, great deal!
13. Grabbed a Polytope off me the same day i listed, paid and sent a day later, no problems at all! Cheers Bob!
14.
I thought she had a lovely voice.
She wasn't a bad singer, but nothing special. Every year there must be hundreds of girls who can sing in just the same style that don't get through because they just aren't good enough, but a sob story is enough to firstly give her sympathy in the first place, and secondly to add extra apparent emotion to the song/her voice that more thank likely wouldn't have been there or recognised had she not told the story first! The point is, i very much doubt she would have been put through if she would have just turned up and sung. I don't blame her, obviously the producers of the show ask them to tell these stories and the judges are briefed before they come in, it's a criticism of the show.
15. Worth checking he has paid the subscription too Lovely looking bass though!
16. The tubby black girl with the sob story had me shouting at the screen. So little talent, and they were crying over how good she was.
17. How about an AMT Slap bass? http://amtelectronicsusa.com/productpageslapbass.html
18. Chap bought two IE pedals from me, paid quick and seems happy, good times!

20.
Warwick 5 string necks are frakking enormous though. I had a 5 string Fortress once and it sounded perfect, but the neck was so painful for me.
I can't say iv ever had a neck issue with the NT models, but then again i'm not a skinny neck fan
21. Just saw this on Facebook, looks rather tasty! http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Warwick_Streamer_P_Nut.html
22.
Thank you. Just checking my Nigerian acct ...
23. You do indeed ended up buying a Phil Jones amp which was more suitable for me. Quality amp this, great price and Si is a top guy to deal with!
