Win a Warwick Robert Trujillo Artist Series signature Bass!
Kev replied to Warwick_Official's topic in General Discussion
Because, mods on forums aren't generally keen on people advertising without their permission. This is a form of advertising, as it will involve you "liking" their page and adding an app which will be used to... advertise their products. That's kind of how these things work.
Do you get out much? It's a facebook page, and the guy is offering members the chance to win a bass. Chances are alot of people on here would never have seen the competition to enter without this thread. Yes, it helps advertise Warwick's, but i really don't get the problem. Don't enter and succumb to the ruthless advertising regime! -
Have you cleared this with the mods? At any rate, I don't think a lot of people on this forum are going to add a facebook app just for a (non) chance of winning a bass that probably won't be delivered over here anyway...
What exactly needs to be cleared?? I'd understand if he was trying to sell Warwick goods (would need to be in Affiliates forum) but i don't feel merely offering a link where members have the chance of winning a free bass is too much of a crime -

Entered Don't really understand why people are posting negatively It's a bloody facebook competition to win a free bass, if you don't want to add an app or participate then don't! -
Man, with that spec if it had 'another' name on it, maybe starting with Wa or Sp it would sell in a second!! Have a bump on me
This. Lovely looking bass, no idea why it hasn't developed more interest! People really need to look past the nametag.... Always makes me giggle when someone lists a sunburst sadowsky or similar for sale; looks exactly like a £100 chinese knock off but the brand has people falling over themselves to say how gorgeous it is Have a bump

Greetings from Warwick Basses & Framus Guitars!
Kev replied to Warwick_Official's topic in Introductions
Fantastic to have you on the forum; surprised at the slightly hostile reception you have received off a couple of members in this greetings thread (!) but hope nothing has scared you off! My Warwick Thumb NT has been with me for 18 months or so now and iv never felt more comfortable with a bass, truly superb -
Wiring those two didn't work, effect stays engaged all the time that way, footswitch does nothing. What am i doing wrong??

follow up, bought the new switch, unsure of how to wire. Original switch had four points, only two of which were connected to anything, and dpdt has 6, where do the two connections join and are additional connections needed?

Up for sale is an old school Warwick bass head. Don't see many of these about, highly regarded the Warwick forums. Great amp in full working order, has two great EQ sections. Active Bass and Treble and parametric mids, and a seperate footswitchable 5 Band Graphic EQ. Also has turbo High and Turbo Low boosts, Di out pre/post EQ, Headphones with standby switch for quiet practice, effects loop, tuner out and line out. 2 1/4" speaker outputs, 280w at 4ohms. Imagine it is around 15 years or so old, has a few scratches here and there but generally in fair condition for its age and perfect working order. Selling as i am downsizing to a GK combo and have no further use for this or the Ashdown Mini cab i have for sale. £90 collected from Leamington Spa Rather than ship i would be much more comfortable delivering this by train if you are willing to meet up at a station within 100 miles or so, splitting the train fare Better pics can be supplied on request, manual found in attachments below.

Got this bass as part of a trade a few months ago, toyed around with it but i'm afraid its just confirmed i am not a Precision bass guy! Heritage of the bass is largely unknown, but as far as i can tell it is looks like a Japanese Harmony precision copy, probably hailing from late seventies/early eighties. All made very difficult as at some point it has been refinished in blue, couple cracks in the paint here and there but nothing major. Bass has an old heavyweight brass bridge and a lovely brass nut and string retainer. The original tuner machines were knackered when i got it so i replaced them with a set of Schaller BML nickle tuners [http://www.allparts....s-3-p-2057.html]; as you will see from the pic it wasn't a straight swap and one of the original holes still shows but purely cosmetic and they hold in tune brilliantly; in fact i think the only time iv had to tune the bass since refitting is dropping from low E to D . Intonates surprisingly well for an old P copy, seems to be in tune all over the neck and the action is pretty nice. Neck is lovely and aged, quite chunky as per typical P but straight and truss rod functions fine. Tried to be as up front as possible about it, lovely little bass with big warm p sound, tone knob has a good amount of sweep and pickup covers are also nicely aged. Strung up very recently with a Extra Slinky Ernie Ball set, not really been played so they are basically brand new. Relisting this again, had a few offers but nothing that ever actually turned into anything for one reason or another! I'm ideally looking to sell for, say, [s]£120.00[/s] [s]£110.00[/s] [s]£100.00 [/s] £90.00 collected from Leamington. Will ship for actual postage costs including insurance, which should be £105 or so. Not really interested in trades but try me, worst i can do is say no. Current pics:

Tascam IU2 certainly seems miles ahead in terms of features, but its hardly an iRig in terms of simplicity..... The Apogee seems very expensive for what it is, is it actually worth it?

Apogee was up there when i was looking, what about this new less portable beasty: http://tascam.com/product/iu2/ Or this: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guitarjack/ Anyone any experience?

There seem to be so many of these now since i had my 3GS stolen a couple years ago! What's best for bass at the moment? iRig? Peavey? Apogee? iRiffport? Recommendations please
