1.
Got this for £847 in the end. Pretty good deal if you ask me. The bass itself seemed in very good condition and I shall go pick it up tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help and happy easter!
Great price mate, heaven forbid if should ever need to sell my 90 Thumb, i would never let it go for anywhere near that figure Let us know how you get on!
2.
Cor, might have set a selling time record on here! It's a great unit Kev, but I've found that I only really use overdrive/distortion/fuzz on bass, which I already have covered in other pedals. Most of the fx are excellent, but I don't need them. It is a bargain though considering you get a drum machine, looper, tuner, audio interface, etc all thrown in too.
Well the drum machine, looper and interface are the things selling it to me at the moment, plus id have effects like phaser, flanger, delay etc which i would never normally buy individual pedals for.... But consideration seems academic, you have a buyer
3. Didn't fancy it much, then? Looking at getting one but concerned it's too good to be true for the money...
4. Always be wary of what Warwick tell you about older instruments, i know there's at least one forum member who knows alot more In terms of things to look out for, its anything you would normally look for when considering an abandoned instrument in a possibly cold/damp place.
5. Certainly a genuine 1991 as well, my 1990 also has the serial number at the top of the headstock
6. This could go for a bargain price. Anything under £1k is a great deal.
7. Don't get why this hasn't sold. It could be awesome, stick a musicman pickup back in it and bit of pickguard cutting....Stingray 4 HS with a nice bit of history.
8. Bumpppp Someone gives me £15, il throw in a Korg GA-30 Tuner, can't say fairer than that.
9. I don't really understand all the different charges....well i think i do and then it turns out i'm wrong when it comes to delivery. If i was purchasing something for $100.00 from the.USA inc shipping, would someone be kind enough to estimate for me what the total price i would expect to pay would be??
10. Bought these very recently but they are unfortunately unsuitable for my bass. Pic taken from original sale thread: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1585963 Complete with screws and Ferrules. £10 + postage.
11. lovely stuff, wonder if he would do a deal for all 3
12. how did this work with your Warwick's? Tracking good?
13. Without pics its difficult, but i wouldnt expect to get much more than £100 for it, how much did you pay? I too believe they are made of plywood?
14. Imagine this will have a Wenge Fretboard, only the Rockbass's used Rosewood i believe
15. On Talkbass, someone has granted my wish and done a sound comparison between these strings and some DR Highbeams... http://www.talkbass....835/index4.html Off that, i think i will by a set, the midrange character sounds superb and i think they will sound fantastic on my Warwick
16. So has anyone tried these? I like the sound of them, but then again i dont think anyone is going to get an idea of what they are like until they go for some, unless someone puts up a video of a string comparison... £40 is a little steep unless they are worth it!

Sold !

Lovely bass and an awesome instrument for sure! However, imagine from that period it will be a wenge fingerboard? Bump!

DI Buzz

There is a ground lift button under the line out, switching didn't have any effect
21. Kev

DI Buzz

The buzz is much louder when the amp is switched off, by the way, is that normal?
22. I have an old Warwick amp and upon using the DI output to my mixer for the first time there is a loud hum/buzz. Usual things have been checked, there is no buzz on any other input/output on the amp or the mixer, not computer equipment etc. The buzz from the DI, however, disappears if i plug the line out into something. What do you think this issue is? Seems its a grounding issue that is solved by connecting the line out to earth, but why is this happening?? I know nothing on this subject so forgive me if i havn't given a great explanation...
