New Zoom B3
Not so good with an active, I get a strage hissing sound on every note (that's with the switch on the back switched to 'Active')
Okay, i wanted this pedal but this bothers me. Does the zoom bypass only cause this hiss when active switch is selected, or does it always add noise to an active bass in bypass? Or have i misunderstood you?
6. Love that he has added pic links....pointing to his computer hard drive
7. ahh i see, sale section: http://www.bassgear.co.uk/2012/04/update-spring-sale-for-pre-owned-clearance-stock/ Little misleading when clicking on products gives full price though?
8. Where are these prices? Just went on the site and cant see any of those prices, feel i'm being dim but a link may help
9. Great book, and a tenner is indeed a silly price Bump
10. Lovely units, have some wicked filter/synth sounds, add an expression pedal and I'd take this over a me50b or gt6b any day more realistic price now too, have a bump
11. Bump, need to shift these someone must need a set? Lovely action
12. I like it!
13.
The person who buys it and then sells it on to you, or someone you know, in a year or two might well do.
This is true, but the seller here, whilst certainly making it clear what the bass is trying to be, does state it is a copy based upon a Geddy Lee at a fraction of the price. Customs things is naughty, il admit...
14. Ashdown Mini ABM115 cab, one of the original English made ones, logo to the left rather than central, square handles etc. Wonderfully manageable size and weight and has a great sound, deep bass and clear top. In decent condition, discolouring of metal at the corners and a few nics in the covering but generally good condition for its age. £100.00 collected from Leamington Spa. Would much rather hand deliver by train than post, willing to travel up to 100 miles or so to meet at a station if you split the fare with me Cheers
15. Brilliant
16. Current list price for a Warwick Thumb is nearly £3500, and they are selling for less than a quarter that....
17. Am i missing something? The seller does not actually claim it is an original Fender??
18. Think he is implying that basschat members usually get some form of discount off an ebay price as perhaps a gesture of goodwill, or due to a sale on here saving you any ebay final selling fees. But hey, it's not a rule, sell for what you wish
19.
Got this for £847 in the end. Pretty good deal if you ask me. The bass itself seemed in very good condition and I shall go pick it up tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help and happy easter!
Great price mate, heaven forbid if should ever need to sell my 90 Thumb, i would never let it go for anywhere near that figure Let us know how you get on!
20.
Cor, might have set a selling time record on here! It's a great unit Kev, but I've found that I only really use overdrive/distortion/fuzz on bass, which I already have covered in other pedals. Most of the fx are excellent, but I don't need them. It is a bargain though considering you get a drum machine, looper, tuner, audio interface, etc all thrown in too.
Well the drum machine, looper and interface are the things selling it to me at the moment, plus id have effects like phaser, flanger, delay etc which i would never normally buy individual pedals for.... But consideration seems academic, you have a buyer
21. Didn't fancy it much, then? Looking at getting one but concerned it's too good to be true for the money...
22. Always be wary of what Warwick tell you about older instruments, i know there's at least one forum member who knows alot more In terms of things to look out for, its anything you would normally look for when considering an abandoned instrument in a possibly cold/damp place.
23. Certainly a genuine 1991 as well, my 1990 also has the serial number at the top of the headstock
