1. Refund was the right option i reckon buddy. He may do the best job in the world, but £100 just sounds too low for the kind of repair it would need.
2. This forum keeps me amused! what else are you going to do with £45?
3. Spent the Thumb money already? Bump for Pete, great guy to deal with
4. She's about a manageable 10lb, reassuringly weighty and balances beautifully
5.
I love em. Rock solid, especially the one with the padded legs rather than the pull down rest.
Yup i have that one as well, and if i ever find the money to own a second bass, i shall buy another Sturdiest stand i have ever used, and grabber can comfortably hold a 6 string bass too
6. Good price though, doesn't appear to be a reserve either. With Warwick popularity being what it is at the moment, might be worth watching! rrp £1800, seems to be underselling himself a little there, cheapest i can find a NT thumb for is £2449.
7. I think for me its aesthetics rather than tone (cannot honestly say i have ever compared identical basses bar from their nut, how many people have??), and on that front i prefer brass.
8. Sorry to sound negative, but how has a thread about a bog standard budget P Bass copy managed to get 20 pages long?? Whilst several basschatters have jumped on board and bought one, i would image it is highly likely that a better quality P copy could be bought second hand off ebay or wherever for similar money... Although if supporting the charity is the main reason (i havn't read the entire thread) then i take my negativity back
9. Don't have any issued with the description really, but pics certainly are naughty. Nice example of the type of t**t sellers their are on ebay these days.....
10. Wayne? Sunburst bass? I think iv had too much rum...
11. I can be branded under the category that i (probably psychologically, lets be honest) believe the heavier the bass the better the sound

Hi there

Don't go into the marketplace, you'll be ruined!! welcome!
13. literally my current expression!
14. gorgeous mate, can she get that honky jazz tone??
15. and so starts the classifieds infestation with Ryder!
16. I'd like to second this request, also looking for a budget DI with good sound quality, any specific suggestions? Certianly looking at double rather than triple figures here
17. As always, do your very best to try and play the bass before considering a purchase. I could play the bass and say it's the worst iv ever played, however you may find it to be the exact opposite Tone and playability is very much subjective.
18. check out the courier thread, should give you a good idea. IME, i would avoid APC and Parcelforce. APC quite shockingly allowed me face to face insure an instrument for £1000 when i found out later that had the worst happened i certainly wouldn't have been insured to that level, and i think parcelforce limit at £150, and thats if you use an approved hardcase!
19. How wrong can you got for £90?? Always fancied a Westone, im sure Sean will love it!!

Came to your senses Finest EB stingray i ever did see!
21. The sun came out today so i took my new beauty onto the patio, photographs do no justice to the stunning Bubinga grain on this bass (neither does a 3mp phone camera...)
22. i did report it upon reading this thread, and shockingly eBay didn't do sh*t..... Truly hate that website these days...

SOLD

This should be one of the better examples of the OLP range, sounds like you have one of the ones built just before they stopped being made, and it has the proper bridge Bump!
