1. Okay, well it will be £100 a piece. Had interest in the head and both too, but interest is all it has been at the moment.
2. Pm's replied to. Here's a pic.. Will split, but only if i get a sale for both as i don't wish to be stuck with one
3.
i think the circuits are either identical or very very similar to civil war muffs anyway what did you mean not all original?
True, but the value of these old muffs, as with most pedals, is in the rarity rather than the sound, and the Civil War muffs are far rarer... Just a pedantic point, the one knob isn't original Maybe i'm wrong, not been in the buying/selling effect game for around 2 years so im out of touch! Out of interest, you say you have used it for a few months, how much did you pay for it may i ask?
4. To be honest, £300 seems MENTAL for a green muff, surely not?!! Have been out the game for a while though so maybe im wrong, but i swear the Civil War Gilmour muffs weren't even getting this much earlier this year. Id honestly think about £150 would be the ceiling price, particularly as its not all original?
5. Jesus wept, i have been out of the effects game for a while! Bump!
6. Please excuse my ignorance, but what benefits does this combo have over the MB112 200w combo that is half its price?? I have little experience with the GK range however i am looking for a compact combo so any info would be great
7. VERY cheap for what it is, i would definetly get it looked at before knocking 2 thousand quid off its value!!

Warwicks

I don't find the Warwick range too complicated, compare to Fender for example. To echo comments above, avoid buying new at the moment, just depreciate immediately and you'll lose alot when you sell; however if you pick a new one up and its perfect, you may never sell! Best bet is a 2nd hand one on here or ebay. Older the better IMHO, alhough the more recent ones get very positive reviews, but then again not many of them will be up for sale at the moment. I would look for a nice 90's active Corvette standard with a nice slim wenge neck for about 500-600 quid. If your budget is a bit higher, the streamer of WH above is pretty tasty, as is the other '91 streamer NT owned by Luke that is up for sale at the moment. Whilst the Rockbass range may be decent from time to time, they don't have the sound of a true Warwick due to the cheaper woods/electronics. I imagine quality control is at mexican Fender level so advise you try before you buy! How much have you to spend?
9. forgot about this thread.... 200 Great British Pounds for both, collection from Warwick only, don't have time to ship these days unfortunatley. Pictures can be sorted at request. Very much interested in trades for low power practice amps, plus cash were necessary. Thinking PJ Combos, smaller MB or GK efforts, that kind of thing.
10. Oo do'nt tempt me to give the mini 115 a friend!
11. Long lost brother of mine Awesome basses, you simply wont find another bass of this quality for that price, will NEVER be letting go of mine!
12. When is it shipping mate? Ordered mine on tuesday but no signs of it from postie yet.
13. Walnut thumbs, rare and wonderful, would love one! Sadly cant justify another thumb, but bump for a surely superb bass for silly money!
14. *Yawn* Who wants a boring old Fender anyways.....
15.
Newly acquired 1990 Streamer Stage I
Yup, thats the model streamer i want, just stunning with that neck!
16. bump for a sure to be awesome bass! I have a '90 thumb NT 4 and it wont be going anywhere for a long, long, long time! do it justice and keep firm with your price, worth every penny!
17. I was referring to this
to my ears bass 1 sounds very much like a jazz bass / super jazz the fingerstyle clip reminds me of my sadowsky!
18. Yeah, in fairness yours does sound like quite a specialist case, so again i think it would be wise to obtain a valuation to keep on record anyway if you wanted it fully insured. judging by the £50 premium he is paying, i imagine the OP's instrument are far less valuable, and therefore can be insured under Musicguard/JLT without the need of a specialist valuation.
19.
I applied to Musicguard for a quote & ended up in the same boat as the OP; they wanted a "qualified" valuation. Try getting one of them for a John Birch. I did have one from E&L Insurance (who are crap - see previous topics) which said £4500 (edit - yes I know - cloud cuckoo-land). I ended up with a letter from Bonhams but that wasn't good enough for MusicGuard. For the OP, it depends what you have & how far you are from a decent music shop, maybe a luthier, or the manufacturer. Basically all they're after is a Letterhead from a shop, saying in their opinion your gear is worth £££X.
What kind of valuations are we looking at here? for Vintage basses? For current stock basses? I have read nowhere that Musicguard require a qualified valuation, and their cover is New for Old so certainly the latter basses would need no form of valuation. If you have a particularly valuable vintage bass (pre cbs stuff perhaps, £4k and above), perhaps look for an insurance company that specialises in this? In any case, if you want to insure an instrument of such caliber/value then you should treat it like your grandmothers wedding ring or grandfathers pocket watch and obtain a Valuation anyway. Oh, and please AVOID Entertainment and Leisure at all costs, trust me you do not want to give them a penny of your money.
20.
no I'm most definitly not confused!! , your mistaken. ..this is 150 watts stand alone into its own 10" 150 watt 8 ohm speaker. It has a second 8 ohm output which significantly increases the volume!! I thankyoo
Sorry, but i'm afraid you are incorrect. I can't without checking confirm whether or not the internal speaker gets the full 150W, but i without doubt confirm that this amp delivers no more than 150W at 4 ohms. Have a little look at the back of the amp, it should say 150w max RMS, 300w peak. Its the RMS rating you need to be looking at The name of the amp also gives a clue to its max power rating Sorry to press this point mate, but i don't want somebody buying it and returning it due to it being misadvertised! I am actually quite interested as it goes...
21. Rarer does not always mean more desirable Anyways, back on topic, Lovely bass
22. Trace Elliot GP7 SM 300w Head This head started life in a combo, before being rehoused in solid wooden casing. 300w at 4 ohms, loud and powerful as you would expect from Trace Elliot. Usual 7 band preamp with the two mid preshape options, front DI and effects loop etc, just the standard GP7 SM preamp. Reliably informed that the fan has been replaced with a new one in the recent past, no issues whatsover... However, when Home Delivery Network delivered this amp to me, they knocked it around a bit, and consequently the handle of the case has broken. Very easily repaired if needed but i have only used at home so have had no need to do so. TRADED Ashdown ABM Mini 115 Cab One of the original Made in England ABM cabs, the ones with the square handles and the Ashdown logo to the left rather than the centre. Lovely little cab, 300W at 8 ohms, lightweight yet has fantastic bottom and clear highs. Cosmetically not perfect, but since when does that effect tone WITHDRAWN
23. I have just taken out a policy with Musicguard. After analysing their policy wording/FAQ's (i work in insurance so am VERY aware of this kind of thing), in absence of a purchase receipt they need to see other forms of proof of ownership i.e. email correspondence/corresponding bank/paypal statements, photograph with you and the instrument (showing serial number), that kind of thing. insurance companies obviously have to place these limitation or anyone could claim for anything!! In regards to the use of instruments for paid work, this would be deemed as commercial use and so i imagine pretty much every home insurer would exclude any losses relating to that.
