Trace Elliot GP7 SM 300w Head This head started life in a combo, before being rehoused in solid wooden casing. 300w at 4 ohms, loud and powerful as you would expect from Trace Elliot. Usual 7 band preamp with the two mid preshape options, front DI and effects loop etc, just the standard GP7 SM preamp. Reliably informed that the fan has been replaced with a new one in the recent past, no issues whatsover... However, when Home Delivery Network delivered this amp to me, they knocked it around a bit, and consequently the handle of the case has broken. Very easily repaired if needed but i have only used at home so have had no need to do so. TRADED Ashdown ABM Mini 115 Cab One of the original Made in England ABM cabs, the ones with the square handles and the Ashdown logo to the left rather than the centre. Lovely little cab, 300W at 8 ohms, lightweight yet has fantastic bottom and clear highs. Cosmetically not perfect, but since when does that effect tone WITHDRAWN -
I have just taken out a policy with Musicguard. After analysing their policy wording/FAQ's (i work in insurance so am VERY aware of this kind of thing), in absence of a purchase receipt they need to see other forms of proof of ownership i.e. email correspondence/corresponding bank/paypal statements, photograph with you and the instrument (showing serial number), that kind of thing. insurance companies obviously have to place these limitation or anyone could claim for anything!! In regards to the use of instruments for paid work, this would be deemed as commercial use and so i imagine pretty much every home insurer would exclude any losses relating to that.

Liked both equally with both pups, but much preferred bass 2 with solo bridge and slap tone (maybe some sort of Warwick?) Do we find out what they are? Edit: Haha, what you get for skimming a thread! Surprised that the first bass was a budget chinese thing (although LOVE that someone compared it to their Sadowsky, confirming my beliefs regarding jazz copies ) but to my ears the differences in quality between the 2 in the second and third set of clips were quite apparent, i had a hunch it was a Warwick

It's Fender product so quality control varies wildly. Some people have owned MIM's that sound better than the MIA's; the only MIM i have tried had build quality and playability to match a Squier Affinity.... Try before you buy and that should tell you everything you need to know, an a hell of a lot more than anyone can tell you on here

they have been selling recently between £400 and £600, worth alot more of course but for whatever mad reasons Warwick's are still selling for silly money. -

The bolt-on Thumbs were originally Ovangkol (early examples were walnut) however Warwick have recently changed that to Bubinga instead, and have reintroduced the Ovangkol model as a korean version to go alongside the corvette standards. Prior to this Bubinga BO's were not stock instruments. As far as i know the new Bubinga BO is replacing the german Ovangkol BO(Woo!). Be interesting to see the street price of the Korean thumb...

Good fair price on the T40 i think, a couple that have been listed for sale on the forum recently have been a tad overpriced IMO. Not sure if they have gone up in value recently at all but when i was looking to buy one a couple of years ago this is about the price i would have expected to pay. Lovely bass How much are your graphite necks?? Plenty of love for the Status necks on here so you could find yourself alot of business if your prices are competitive -
I don't think there is much arguement that Warwick basses second hand are the best value for money at the moment, the way the market is. On the same token, i would recommend you do NOT buy one brand new! Try before you buy. For your budget you can afford to get an older late eighties/early nineties handcrafted Warwick, which some prefer due to the neck profile and woods used (Wenge rather than the cheaper Ovangkol) amongst other things.

My third bass, a Grind 6 string. I loved it, always wanted to get round to getting some EMG's in it (i'm not a passive man), but sold it in the end. Really nice bass for the money

His Too Young To Die tone is one of my fave tones. As already said, an old streamer stage 1, trace elliot amps and 6000 metric arseloads of compression might help you on the way, but the tone is all in his fingers.
