1. if its still going il be able to collect, cheers
2. cash price? surely then you can buy what you want rather than wait for a trade?
3. afaik, his main distortion sound is a russian big muff, modified, and a human gear animato, run alongside clean bass. Plug in baby has some sort of filter going on, and hysteria is distorted bass alongside a roland synth, which is also used as a sample which chris plays over live. In short, you wont get an exact studio sound without heavy studio modification, and im sure you would have noticed chris's tone is pretty different live.

MW FX

Just discovered these, anyone heard of them? www.mwfx.co.uk Seem to have some interesting designs going on! Pedals made of wood (or so it seems) seems a little interesting reliability wise, but the 8 bit and the Tape sound interesting, wave machine loses a little too much bass going by the sample...
5. oh my.....
6. is this only open for attendees of the bash? Giving and receiving?
7. for the money the enigma will cost you you might want to check out the pigtronix ep1. Best filter i have had the pleasure of owning, allthough i havn't any experience with the enigma out of your list.
8. two comments from me: 1. Your trying this out through a 15 watt amp in the video. Unsure if you have tried it through a proper amp, but you might find the low end loss alot more noticible with a bigger speaker 2. I don't think its slated as a pedal for bass, more than the fact it just isn't as good as the russian one because of the low end loss But nice video by all means though
9.
Pm'd re syb-3
also pm'd earlier this afternoon
10.
All the non-MXR (which is what matters) demos I have heard sound really dry and thin. I dunno if that's just bad camera quality, but it's a pretty a consistent problem. I'll check one out in a shop at some point.
PLEASSSSSE don't judge a fuzz pedal by soundclips on the internet! Iv gone through a fair few, and IME i have found that, more so than any other type of effect, fuzz pedals vary wildly with your setup and, more importantly, your playing style. Unless you really cannot try one out, do not rule out pedals from sound clips. Works both ways of course. I really liked the idea of the T rex Bass Juice, until i tried it out. Literally the worst pedal i have ever used, i preffered the distortion provided by my zoom 560 at the time.
11. out of interest, why not a blowtorch? Its one of the best pedals i have owned for Muse sound, particularly with an overdrive pedal on before it.
12. yeah definatly. The Inn On The Green on the gloucester road does a brilliant pint of ale
13.
Well could you tell me more about the specs (mA provided) of the guenine Akai AC adapter? Thanks! As I'd like this thing to be sold ASAP (GAS!), I'll put it on eBay very soon if nobody wants it.
9v power supply, at 200ma. Rumour has it that the deep impact works better with the original power supply It was discussed in a sales thread i had for it sometime last year....http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=28435&hl=akai
14. wish i lived closer to you, would to to take it off you as it seems lovely, but the cost of shipping would make it lose its appeal have a bump anyways
15. love to try out that mxr, seems a great bit of kit..
16. bought my p pups, cheque sent straight away, cant ask for more
17. that Coronado is the best Fender i have ever seen.
18.
I think you'll struggle to get your £40 in my opinion.
Don't think you can get much better for the money, its a superb overdrive and distortion, too many people try it once and join the bandwagon and say its no good. Spend some time with it and you'll realise how good it is, even if you just use it as a clean boost. And i think around 50% off new price is a pretty good deal. Keep it at £40 bud, and have a bump
19.
Haha, if only it were a real book!...the charity shops would be full of 'em!
20. how about this becomes another BC library book, rather than someone keeping it??
21. [shameless plug] i have a genuine UK akai deep impact power supply that i may be able to sell to the buyer of this, itl raise the value of the deep impact too [/shameless plug] have a bump
22.
Guy's n Girls, Looking at possibly splashing out for a Sadowsky Metro Bass, anyone any experience of them? or possibly own one? There's a nice long waiting list so I may dip into the good second hand market - anyone want to talk me into or out of buying one? Cheers, Steve.
Be sensible and don't buy one until you try one.
23.
It's 'cos the snare beat on the 2 is unusual, without its mate, the snare on the 4. It's a little hard to count from the guitar intro. I just don't understand why anyone feel they have to play it exactly the same as the record. The obvious thing to do is to start the drums first then once people are jumping and thinking "er I know this" bring the guitar in.... As a tune it always gets a good reaction whenever it's played (we don't play it as it doesn't quite fit) so thats a pressing reason to include it in the set. Why do popular tunes always get slagged off?
+1 to all that.
24. i wish i could recommend DR low riders, but mine last about a week before i snapped the E (!) and D strings. Probably had a dodgy set, but its put me off getting them again. Been looking at these, any opinions?
