5. listening to this should solve any questions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7BzVXSqzT8. A usual, most tabs are off. Brilliant song to play once you have mastered it Has to be played with a pick with mids turned right up to sound like Justin
6. pointless discussion. He's the best bassist for RHCP, you cant go beyond that, too subjective.
7. from my experience, they do not update things on their website very well. Last time i enquired about something, it had sold quite a while ago.
8.
After some quick research, it seems the Mullard ECC82 is the one to get, so when I'm back from hols & got to grips with the Zoom, I'll give one a try...(I think the 12AX7 is a different valve, ie different specs.).
ah yes, didnt check, a 12ax7 is a ECC83, but i think it would still work with the zoom, just be a higher gain sound? But yeah the ECC82 is what you want, which you should find cheaper as they are not as sought after
9. mullard 12ax7?? Had one in a dha pedal i used to own, VASTLY improved the tone Obviously long discontinued, but you should be able to pick one up on ebay for £20 odd, just make sure it has been tested.

PM's

think its a 1 minute (or maybe 2) gap between each pm you send, otherwise no limit i dont think
11. i briefly owned the 4 string version of this earlier this year, got it for an absolute bargain, lovely bass with a very fast neck. I bet this is rather good too, don't let the wooden neck fool you, they are great status basses
12. gunna need a few more clues mate, especially considering there's no budget!
13. bump 1 daisy chain, the xlr cable, and the midi cable remain, along with the wilko pickup
14. anyone got any spare chrome ones lying about? Using a pair of cheap hardware screws at the moment, would like something that matches a bit more il of course pay postage

16. personally, stingrays piss all over any jazz bass Does yours have the mute bridge? 2 band?
17. yeah, sounds like a pickup issue. Just try raising it on the G side to see if it makes a significant difference, if not your gunna have to invest a bit of money into a new p pup, unless you get it rewound?
18.
Looks good mate
cheers! I have a thumb rest on order too now, still not sure if il bother with the bridge cover Edit: some pics with the thumb rest...
19. the windmills are gorgeous!!
20. you should be able to tell by the feel of the d and g when you fret as to whether or not its a problem with the neck or the pickup. Simple way is to play unplugged. If unplugged the strings sound quieter/choked, then the neck still aint right. If it sounds normal, then your pup is buggered.
