1. i am very happy with my vintage icon v4. Only complaint i had was that the pickups were not really the tone id like, but i swapped them out for some JV squier's, and now it plays and sounds as good as any p bass, and is very light too
2. all pm's replied to this is now SOLD
3. back when i first started playing bass, i ordered an OLP off them. Two weeks later, they email me saying they are out of stock. Two weeks! Needless to say i cancelled my order, and never used them again.
4. Pickup screws sadly pass through the countersunk hole in the cover. I have ordered some anyhow from axesrus as i think the 1 inch strap button screws will work, we will see BTW, the cover matches the 'relicing' on my bridge cover very well, cheers
5. il offer my 2 cents.. Im quite an eagle eye in terms of watching basses sell (and not buying them ) I would say a fair price for the mim fender would be around the £325-£400 mark, say £360. The rockbass i would probably expect £150-£200. Hope this helps
6. sure
7. okay im after cash for this now, £10 plus a couple of quid for postage will cover it
8. i have never made an offer on an item for sale without the seller giving me an indication of what he/she is looking for, and i have never sold an item to a buyer without letting them know what i am expecting. Pm's are of course fine for trade offers, but for cash offers its not what i like to get involved in, i go ebay for that.
9. tjust had an email reply 'sorry...i don't have any' am i going to have to settle for a non-chrome screw?
10.
Just sold(ish) my ODB-3. Would've traded for this.
i'm actually one of the seemingly rare breed who loves that pedal, ya just need to learn how to use it
11.
Forgot about this until it was resurrected, but here I come to screw up your stats: ... All measurements made on the E string. JV Squier 3rd: 2mm 12th: 10mm 17th: 11mm CY Squier 3rd: 1.5mm 12th: 7mm 17th: 8mm Yamaha RBX375 3rd: 1.5mm 12th: 6mm 17th: 7mm
JV squier GAS has just plunged
12. they don't have anything on their site that matches what i need, but iv emailed them anyway. Thanks.
13. i bought a Status energy with LEDs in the neck for £200. Didn't like it too much though so sold it on here for the same price. Iv never seen a bargain at cash converters. All the ones i have ever been trawl through ebay and google before buying any instrument off anyone so they work out its value.
14.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the very kind words from you all. It is appreciated and means a lot. I would hate for anyone to think that I was ever trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes, that is just not me and I really posted everything about this bass in good faith. Thank you for understanding all. I will keep you posted. Take care. Cheers, Matthew
Your a good man Best of luck with the sale, i think that is a very reasonable price and, cliche i know, if i had the money i really would go for it, gorgeous
15. pm'd
16. i don't understand why people are saying its badly priced because of second hand stingrays? If that was the case, why would anyone buy a mid-range bass new, because there will always be a better bass second hand for the same cash? Its like saying why buy a mim fender new when you can get a 2nd hand US one for a similar price. People like having new instruments, and the warranty that they come with. I repeat what i said, they have price the instruments well, IMO
17. i wouldnt really know what i was looking for, just the same width as a regular mounting/pickguard screw, but 25mm or so long
18.
Sounds reasonable to me, they usually go for £175 in VGC. Stick some pics up and you might get more interest.
+1
19. i am by no means a fender expert, but without the original pickup, pickguard or finish, its gunna be less than what you may have hope for. Stupid as it is, people get so anal about how original the instrument is. This is more of a players bass than a collectors.
20. get a price for it, it will surely shift faster then I would say somewere between £350 and £500 is what your looking at.
21. bump
22. Due to shoddy routing on my p bass, i need to mount a pickup cover into the actual pickup cavity, and thus i need longer screws than normal. I think i need at least 25mm thread length, but the same width/head as a normal mounting/scratchplate screw. Can anyone tell me where i could find such screws, as i am having difficulty. Obviously i would prefer them to be chrome, or similar as possible. any ideas?
23. dare i ask hw much that one set you back?! Gorgeous instrument
24. any ideas where the pulse synth is now???
